Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #4

^ Sometimes ppl have no choice but to talk to annoying blotches. Like, for a job. IMO.

My friend wasn't uncomfortable. She thought Lauren was a stuck up, whiny biotch who thought their $hit didn't stink. And she would have left the convo if she could have but it was impossible.

I am happy to talk about Ben. IMO he is a Mama's boy ManChild who is used to being the center of attention and getting his own way. Mr MeMeMe. Ben is the one who has led Lauren on, who never takes relationship responsibility for his own actions like the double ILY's or broken marriage date promises. IMO Ben is no prize. IMO Ben is very wishy washy and self involved. IMO Ben bought into the "Perfect Ben" Bachelor hype and is now in a funk dealing with the RL realities of his life circumstances, loss of direction and actions from that role.
IMO Lauren has way more patience and love toward Ben than the other way around. IMO Lauren has loads of longtime close friends and family who attest to her kindness and loyalty. I give major props to Lauren to working through the public blindsides that Ben has thrown at her and still trying to make their relationship work.
IMO whether their relationship is going to end up in marriage is a big question mark as of now?? I am 50/50 at this point.

I can not for a day imagine what it would be like to be under the spotlight/limelight of scrutiny.
Maybe I didn't get enough sleep. Maybe I had PMS. Maybe I didn't look the way I wanted to or had a disagreement with a friend, family member or significant.
Imagine being asked for endless photos, autographs etc and boring conversation by strangers.
Anyone can say that goes with the territory, but honestly in my particular territory I would say "no" if I wanted to say "no". So anyone taking a less, more graceful approach wins kudos from me.  I'm not a nasty person. Honest. I'm just me.
It takes a certain personality to be "on" 24/7.
JMOAA--unless you are chained to a person as in Big Brother, you can politely extricate yourself from a conversation. It's done all the time.

LOL there are lots of unpleasant people or personalities on tv and reality shows and social media. I won't bother with examples as they are constantly in our faces.

MORE MORE! This is really spot on IMO.

It will be interesting to see where this goes. I can't really think of another couple from this show within the past few years that was so full on and over the top in terms of promotion and also that they're ready to be married and now at such a halt.

Yeah seabear you see Ben for what he is.  Despite my criticisms of her career choices I have a lot more time for Lauren than Ben. It's his total manchild( as you say)  tendencies which shone out of that HEA season & showed him up for the immature soul he is. I still can't believe how different he comes across compared to TB - partly I expect due to the spin and the way it was promoted that he was the ideal man on TB!!!  JoJo may have had a lucky escape after all.
