Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Lauren said their vacation was a reset for them. That comment makes me believe the constant filming, traveling and press was too much for them at times. They are human after all, and although they may have some regrets they've still IMO been respectful of one another. They've given us a glimpse into seemingly a real issue for them, but glad it hasn't turned into marriage boot camp.
I think these two ended filming at the right time. I think the Honduras trip was meaningful for them and spending their first holidays together with family will get them back to a feeling of normalcy

That's good, and then, if I was them, I'd try really, really hard to examine my values and what made me go out and shill my relationship and get into this mess to help avoid such a cluster in the future. Imo.

I'm guessing Ben's modest house and life (the guy drives his car from big school!) had a lot to do with it. Esp if the rumour that he was underpaid as the Bach is true . The money from this will probably allow them to buy their first house together. I will not be so understanding of another TV run though. We'll see.

Yeah, agreed, but those are still values imo. Money and nice house > fostering a healthy relationship. I predict Marriage Bootcamp next myself. We'll see.

I agree. I don't think they anticipated the reaction either. Probably thought it'd be a quick fluffy few weeks .

I agree. I hope this is their last reality show. They're still a new couple, and should count their blessings if they survived this show still together, loving, liking and respecting each other.

Yeah... I'm also a little understanding and forgiving over this one reality tv show run. It's a nest egg. Similar to Sean doing DWTS, which he also says he regrets for the strain it put on he and Catherine. I think B&L were perhaps a little naive going into this.  And that's ok, people make choices for whatever reason and some turn out to be good decisions, and others not so much. And all you can do is hope to learn and grow from your life experiences. I looooooooved the path Ben and Lauren were on prior to signing up for this. My hope for them is they retreat back to that path, real life and prioritize fast. If they do MBC, I probably give up.

Also in other news, Happy 1 year to B&L!! Only the 5th Bachelor couple to make it to this milestone! (Jason/Molly, Sean/Cat, Charlie/Sarah and Byron/Mary being the others.) Still hoping these two make their way into Jason/Molly and Sean/Cat territory and less the other two.

Yeah, all their money (from Bachelor, Happily Ever After, Wedding) is most likely going to go into buying a house. Real estate is expensive in Colorado, even for a small house in a dumpy area. Ben's neighborhood is actually super expensive, and it's not all that great IMO. So a good chunk of their cash is probably going to go into getting the dream house Lauren wants and deserves after putting up with so much sh*t. Honestly, I would just move to a different state, so that I could save some money. But Ben has all his friends in Colorado, and he loves it there, soooo...

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if Ben did DWTS next. He's obsessed with the whole dancing bit and he has shown during some episodes. Just like how he was the one more accepting of doing this show, it's always been about what Ben wants. It's probably one of the reasons why he doesn't even want to marry yet. He wants to take all these opportunities and just expects Lauren to be his biggest fan girl while doing so.

Nick is going to be the new Bachelor by the time the next season of DWTS rolls around, and I'm sure he'd take take the offer if given to him, and would be 10x better than Ben IMO. Ben will aready be old news, other than the wedding, that I still think will happen around that time. So, he may have no shot anyway..thank gawd IMO.

Ben stated somwhere he was a terrible dancer and had no interest in going on ... then joked around that if anyone should do it from their partnership, it should be Lauren (he was totally joking, I think.) Also I agree with @Lennoxcolinrolland here. I personally like Nick a lot and he greatly amuses me, but that boy is one of the hugest famehos from this franchise, if not the king **IMO**. If DWTS takes a Bachelor in the spring, it's gonna be Viall. And no way would Nick turn it down.

B & L agreed to do a reality show so anything else on tv is not so far fetched to me.
