Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3
Another difference between Nick and RS: Nick has never publicly proclaimed to know who RS or anyone else had sex with; RS makes a regular habit of claiming to know the sexual conquests of Nick and others. As if Bach nation people have RS on speed dial and call him from the post coital bed to report on their own sex life.

Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3
@lleyki I couldn't have said it better. RS writes as if his word is the infallible truth, and he can never admit a mistake without another paragraph of excuses blaming his sources. That's more than just ego; that's a god complex.
As a fellow snarky person, I can see why others might misinterpret Nick's reactions as catty and curmudgeonly; but we tend to be pretty even-tempered and flippant about negativity. Our initial reaction to sh*tty people is to be a smart azz OR let the negative people make fools of themselves by letting them run their mouths until they've said something stupid. I'm not saying these are great traits to have, but I wouldn't equate them to being spiteful and taking the offensive, which is RS' ethos. I'd argue, snarkiness is our defence mechanism.
Now, privately, Nick may say things that we've never really heard him say publicly; but to be fair, in this case, he believed he was saying things in the company of a friend. Some of the things he's been accused of saying may have been said in jest, or may have been said in a different context. We'll never know for sure. And like I said in a previous comment, I don't necessarily think Abby's lying, but I do think she's manipulated information to fit her and RS' narrative. I do think this reveals more about Abby's character than it does about Nick's, especially if she continues to latch onto him as a friend (by calling him as such) even after maligning him.

I saw the "she loves me, she loves me not" promo again but they seem to only show it at random times - this time I saw it while watching General Hospital - so no one can ever get a chance to screencap it.

Lleyki, I was also thinking that Nick would be the perfect replacement for CH when the time comes. Especially if his season goes well for him in the eyes of Bachelor Nation.

I enjoyed catching up in this thread, especially @lleyki post.
I don't see any similarity between Nick and RS. IMO Nick doesn't pretend to be someone he's not. What you see is what you get. RS is a liar, and will do and say anything to make himself look good. For the record my opinion of RS has nothing to do with the fact that he's single. My comment had to do with maybe he should stop making fun of single people going on this show, when he in fact is single himself. What goes around comes around.

BachIsMyGuiltyPleasure wrote:Okay just listened to the podcast and what REALLY interested me was the fact that Nick told Abby he was going to "Play puppeteer" and "select the women who are on my season "..... isn't this unprecedented if true? Like when Nick says "she's a keeper" after M&G about Vanessa in episode 1 (according to RS spoilers)... just how much information did he have in advance?
As a side note, I so wouldn't be surprised if Nick''s hosting classes were in preparation for taking over from CH someday... some thought Sean had that chance with his stint on AP but IMO he didn't shine, way too much lounging back in his chair...time will tell!
Actually, years ago on Jen Schiff's season, she was shown pictures of possible contestants to choose from, so not totally unprecedented if true....which I doubt. I suspect he may have just been referring to the fact that he will be deciding who goes and who stays on his own season.
As for saying stuff like "she's a keeper", I don't think that means he had any information in advance. Lots of leads make comments about the people cast for them as they are walking away towards the mansion. In fact, I think pretty much every lead comments on at least someone or does the fanning motion. It's pretty standard and is just them giving their first impression.

Jesse Palmer also had input into cast prior to meeting the women.
The woman for Nick's season were pretty much in the bag and cast prior to Nick signing his contract. The women may not have been informed yet, but production has a good idea of who is going on before the last minute.
JMO but I think AD is taking some poetic license with her interview.

Thanks Sprite & Kasha, I only started watching from Juan Paublo's season so didn't realise it's happened before...also RS followed up her statement with discussion about him actually picking the women for the season and she didn't correct him... so I took it to mean casting as believe we've heard of women being put up in hotel only to be told they were no longer needed...
Yah I agree Leads always make those throw away comments after cast start walking to the house (she's cute, hot, etc)... just interesting to me he said "keeper" about the one he ended up with... it's almost like when JoJo said "finally" when meeting Jordan... I'm so suspicious now of every lead!!

^ I wanna see when he makes the "keeper" comment, is it an ITM, a frankenbite, or straight out of his mouth...

During limo exits, even when the lead makes a statement IMO unless a specific girl is also in the frame the statement could be have been said about anyone.
