Caila was only 24 too, so I don't think age would be the dealbreaker. She just seems very shy and insecure from what we saw on BSB and that usually isn't the personality type they go for. It also doesn't seem like she even made it to F6 (as we heard Danielle's and whitney's families were contacted for HTD) so she's probably not even in the running.

My guess would be that it will be Rachel, Raven, or Danielle m. Or Vanessa, in the odd-chance she doesn't win!

IMO.

Even if Kristina was in her 30s I don't think she would be next lead or in the running for next lead just based on her not being F4 and doesn't go as far as other possible candidates and going by past Bettes (even Britt didn't end up as the lead).

Caila wasn't the bette though and seriously, I somehow didn't think that she was that seriously considered. Maybe she really wanted it but don't know if she was being vetted as the next bette.

IMO, it could be one of the F4, but who of them really have a great backstory?? Where as if you look at Dani, she has the best one IMO of the F6 and since we know that they have chosen from the F6 before, don't think it is a done deal that it can't be her....IMO

Well, we know that Juan Pab wasn't in the F4 and yet he was the next lead so, don't think it's totally out of the question.....just unexpected if they were to go with her. Would the series actually go with Rachel though?? Is the series ready for that.....better yet, are the TPTB ready for that?? It's another reason why I am thinking that Dani may be in the running as the next lead along with her age/backstory

IMO, Caila was seriously considered. They did her intRo shots in her hometown, the viewers did not warm up to her that was the reason why she lost the bette position. I think Rachel has a pretty good shot with all the diversity talk surrounding the franchise, it depends on the viewers and how she is portrayed IMO

I sure hope that the show,producers and audience are ready for Rachel as the next Bachelorette. She would be fantastic.

I think Rachel or Vanessa could be great leads depending who is f1. But I'll have to see personalities .

I'm guessing it's going to be one of Rachel or Vanessa (whichever is F2). I would say that Dani could be a "dark horse" to get it (age, backstory), since Britt wasn't in the F4 and she was close to getting it. Not sure if Raven or Corinne will be seriously considered based on age (since they just did a younger female lead), but I'm guessing it will depend on the edit.

Caila definitely was - it's pretty common knowledge she had gotten the gig and she got a call the weekend before saying they were going in a different direction, much like with Luke or Arie.

It's not all about backstory. From our recent bachelorettes/bachelors, who has had a really tragic backstory? Probably the last lead to have one was Des, which was 3.5 years ago. At the end of the day, it's more about personality and who the audience connects to. It's too early to say if that will or won't happen with Rachel or Raven or even Corrine, IMO.

I don't know who I will like until we see this play out. All I have is the barest knowledge of any of these girls, so it will be interesting to get to know them and see who becomes a favorite.

IMO the producers may have someone (or ones) in mind when they cast each season, as well as while filming progresses, but don't really decide until they gauge the fan reaction to the various contestants each season. And they do take into account age, but that is only one of many other factors, including maturity, how well you work with production, good backstory, etc. But if by the end of the season, the fans are really clamoring for someone else to be the next lead, they definitely reevaluate. I think that's what happened with JoJo/Caila.
