Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - **NO SPOILERS**

I think I got spoiled in a thread here I'm not sure, so I'm going to ignore it and if in a couple months time it turns out to be true, I'll post to say how I got spoiled so people will be more careful...

Finally have time to comment on episode 1. It was my first time going into a season 100% unspoiled. I hadn't watched any previews, read any bios or interviews so everything was new to me.

I was surprised at the lack of crazies (so far!) There was shark/dolphin girl but she was probably just drunk and the producers put her up to that. I'm sure she does actually know the difference between a dolphin and a shark. And then there's Corrine, the typical "villain" character who doesn't really seem that bad to me.

My favorites were camel girl (because her intro made me laugh), Vanessa, Rachel (she would have gotten my first impression rose too) and Danielle M.

Least favorites were Raven (super irritating and I hope she doesn't stay around long), wiener girl (Why would Nick keep someone who fed him a raw hotdog?!?) and Liz (I feel like she just came on the show for fame and I expect her to be on BIP later this year) Also, Jasmine needs to chill. I think she'll be going home next episode.

I don't have that much to say about episode 1 but I enjoyed it more than I have in a long time. I think Nick did a pretty good job.

My current guess for final 4: Rachel, Vanessa, Corrine and Danielle L. Obviously, it's way too soon to guess the final 1.

My prediction is: F1 - Vanessa, F2 - Danielle L., F3 - Rachel ('Ette!) and F4 - Danielle M.

@yana_bach What made Vanessa stand out for you? She wasn't that noticeable for me. She spoke French to Nick and I didn't like her dress but that was about it.

@albean99, I am not sure about @yana_bach but Vanessa stood out for me too.  It was how Nick reacted to her the minute she got out of the limo.  You could tell he was attracted and intrigued.  Their one-on-one time seemed to be very comfortable and he didn't appear pleased when another girl walked up to interrupt them.

I think (hope) Nick looks for a women who will keep him guessing a bit. She doesn't seem the typical "throw herself at him" kind of contestant so hopefully that sparks and keeps his interest long enough to see if they would make a good couple.

They are showing a lot of her in the previews; that is either a good sign or they are trying to lead us down the wrong path.

I thought I was just over Corrinne, but I think I'm over Nick too. He's not doing it for me as the Bachelor. I miss Ben Higgins boyish charm.
The fawning over Viall is unbelievable. Sure he has a nice body and dresses well, but he isn't swoon worthy. Next!

My best hope for Nick is that he agreed to play along with TPTB regarding Corrine...agreeing for the sake of making "compelling" television. He's been around the block enough to know how they work and what footage they need. If not, then yes, I'm very disappointed in him...but I'm choosing to think he knows what's going on and has agreed to play the good little soldier to get what he wants in the long run. TWT.

We're watching football so won't watch TB until tomorrow. IMO Corrine is this season's drama queen. Nick should know the score but others have been fooled before (Ben F-Courtney). I think he likes her and may be flattered at this point in the show. I hope he doesn't believe he's all that just because he's TB. Too many of the guys end up a bit too full of himself imo.
