Olympics - Rio - August 2016 *Spoilers*

Come on Cuba! Beach volley ball, never played in any tournaments before and here they are in the Olympics!

U.S. Sweep in the 100m hurdles!! First that's happened in that event.

I love the second week of the Olympics when I get tons of track & field coverage. Makes the former track athlete in me very happy.

As a Jamaican living in Canada, I couldn't be happier, not just tonight, but with the last couple of days in track and field. Omar Mcleod getting the gold in the 110m hurdles for Jamaica, Drouin with the gold in high jump for Canada, Usain did the 3peat in 100m, Elaine Thompson doubled up in the 100m & 200m, and hopefully Bolt and De Grasse can go 1-2 in the 200m because their bromance is EVERYTHING. I love the camaraderie between them because De Grasse has said numerous times how much he looks up to Usain, so I really enjoy seeing these moments between the 2 :happydance:

@ReneeM Double excitement for you! IA their bromance is everything. I love it! True display of sportsmanship and team work even though they compete against each other. They are always giving each other high five's and challenge each other. I loved how Bolt was looking for him and sort of waited till he caught up. They speculate DeGrasse will be the next Bolt. DeGrasse said he still has a lot of gas in him, so the final is going to be insane!

They compete tonight, I can't wait.

I loved that race with De Grasse and Bolt! I was smiling along with both of them and it was a joy to watch them race together. Fantastic Olympic spirit and friendship between them both.

I knew something was up when I first read the article and he said they put a gun to his head and he's said "whatever". Yeah sure buddy.

Ryan is a moron. Ugh. I have never liked the guy. At least for all of Michael Phelps' faults, he didn't make up stories. He owned his mistakes and made changes.

On a happier note, I'm glad the US women's 4x100m relay team is getting a rerun. It would have been unfair that they didn't advance because another athlete knocked Allyson Felix and it caused her to drop the baton.

I saw that clip and I thought another athlete made her knock it down, but that was earlier today and I haven't checked for updates yet. Glad to hear that!

Michael Phelps totally admitted all his problems, in hopes of helping others. What an example he is to those young kids that may be struggling with drug use. Look at what he has achieved after being in that "dark place" as he calls it.

All the Ryan Locthe stuff is dumb. Reading different articles saying he & the other swimmers involved were all drunk and made the whole thing look like they really got robbed.

Anyways, happy for girls gymnastics and Phelps! Way to go!
