Another thing I love about him: he mentions it's always a team effort, they're a "we", it's "our" life. It's awesome. He doesn't do it on purpose because of how naturally he says it, but it's how he really feels imo.

This is what I see too. He does a lot of stuff wrong but he's willing to learn and grow for her and do his best. It's all that matters, they're in a baby relationship in a weird situation and he's confused, but he's trying and learning.
