No chamber pots in my recollection.

No.
Do you remember wearing white gloves as part of dressing up? I had to wear white gloves with my brownie outfit for the investiture. Also patent leather mary janes were a big part of dressing nicely.

Yes, I do. We had no dryer when I was little. In the summer my mom put the clothes in big wicker baskets and we took it outside to be hung up. In the winter, my dad strung lines in the basement and the clothes were hung there.

I also remember white gloves and high heels when I first started working after college. This was such fun when standing in the New York City subway on the way to and from work.

Yes. The brown ones were popular in my Jr. high.

Yes.

No, but we loved near one and often saw young folks piling in the trunk!

Yes, I actually collect vintage Barbie stuff. I have a pretty substantial collection of dolls, carrying cases and clothing. I love Barbie. Or at least my generation's Barbie.
