I'm not sure she has a history of guys leaving and Brad certainly seemed to like her even though I couldn't see where she was all that into him for whatever reason or not. Funny, he said she opened him up too so she must have some quality that closed off guys like.

She was a bit paranoid about guys this season leaving because of all of the hype on the message boards about folks wanting Emily or Chantal but then both Jillian and Ali went through the same thing. I think she's far more secure/confident than both Ali and Jillian.

I think she and JP have a strong chemical attraction to one another which keeps them both touching one another - in excess. LOL!

Interesting because in alot of interviews I see him reaching for her. I wondered if he was just a little nervous being on camera and she was reassuring him.

No doubt the reassuring goes both ways. He may be less comfortable in public than she is, but she has insecurities of her own that he is taking care of. They do take turns in the interviews. She doesn't talk more than he does.

I also thought that the "oh, will he leave me?" bit was hyped more than it needed to be for the show. She did tear down Brad's "walls"... and Ben's. (Brad was much more into her than she was into him... or so it appeared to me. He was trying very hard with her, but something was always "off". Heck, he was also trying hard with Emily as well...)

In regards to "closed off" guys, something the other Ashley (Spivey) stated in her episode #7 commentary on abc.com got my attention: Ben and Constantine are both reserved with their feelings. I think Ash likes it more when guys are more open with how they feel. In that same episode, JP went into detail about his jealous feelings with her on their group date. She wanted to hear all of that... the Open Book Guy.

I have to laugh about what Thomigirl said... "couldn't wait to be out in public". Now that the public just can't get enough of them, they are probably too eager to make that trip back to Fiji. She thinks they can just go get coffee in the morning...

I agree. She does like the open book guy and JP doesn't seem to struggle expressing how he feels. I also like that he said he was flexible on anything concerning her. There was an interview Ashley gave (paraphrasing here) that when JP told her about his jealous feelings that how she knew he really cared etc!

Poor Ashley. I hope the coffee thing works out for them. Maybe their fans will leave them alone for just one cup?

What cracks me up is that 'fans' want them to live a normal life and not be fame whores yet they want to know every little detail of their lives and hang out on message boards discussing every little rumor/tweet/article/FB post ... We can't have it both ways. They are either going to ignore us and the press, they will give as little or much as they like or they will be all out there ...

People are still criticizing Ali for taking jobs in the media. Was she supposed to turn them down to prove that she was 'humble' and not a fame seeker. She's young and she was offered great opportunities that most would die for.

JP and Ashley can blend into NYC like a lot of 'stars' do but they will be photographed and stalked for some time. We will SEE them getting coffee. Articles are already out with half truths about them. I hope the worst is over for them. I'm not sure it is.

I'm one of the 'fans' that want them to live a normal life because it seems to be the key to the long lasting couples from this show. Yes, I admit, I'm loving every little tidbit, but I like this couple more than I have any other reality show couple (other than Rob and Amber). I'll be content if they do ride off into the sunset (with me kicking and screaming in the background :P ). Reaffirms my belief in happy endings.

I think you're right in that they really can blend into NYC. Hopefully the paps will leave them alone. I mean, we didn't get pictures of them at the cupcake bakery or out at lunch or at their engagement party. Any pictures we have gotten have been from the couple themselves.

I think they are required by their contract to stay in the public eye for a certain amount of time. We are all beneficiaries of that with the tweets and pictures.

These two have established this unbelievable communication system. I loved during the season how they were able to share with one another everything about what they were feeling and what they were dealing with. They truly did share the journey with one another. If they are able to talk through things with camera rolling, I have no doubt they will be able to work through whatever comes up. Of course, ChrisH said that when they are together it is like they are in a bubble and no one else exists. I have a lot of hope for this couple.

You can't see it in these pics, but they do keep holding hands as much as possible. I'm not a body language expert, but this brings up an interesting-but-obvious observation. She doesn't want to let him go on account of all of those phobias of "guys leaving" (provided it wasn't all scripted for the show). He is holding on to her to reassure her that he is not leaving. It works perfectly for both. They were completely relaxed walking into the studio with the noisy cameras following them.

When they are NOT touching each other, they appear to TALK a lot more (i.e. Baby/Babe)... as if their voices are some kind of audio "umbilical chord" that prevents them from getting separated from each other.

It really is the cutest thing and I also think that all their touchy-ness like the PDA and the climbing all over him in the deleted HK clips are as much about connecting with each other and showing how much they love each other as they are about their intense chemistry and hormones. LOL!

Oh and as much as I love stalking and twalking them (), I do think they're going to blend into the NYC C-list celeb scene in a few months and just show up to MTAs or whatever show related events TPTB drag them out to like Jolly, who also stay out of the media for the most part.
