I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all goes down (or how it's edited as going down), but I have a feeling TPTB planned the arrival of Josh, just like RS said, to cause drama with Nick when he asks Amanda on a date. That restarts their old "feud" which the producers would eat up.  I'm also guessing many in the cast read or at least heard about what was in Andi's book so there likely was gossip behind Josh's back (twin Emily was the worst at this on Ben's season) with people thinking he could eventually hurt sweet mom Amanda and that he may just be using her to "rehab" his image etc, etc.  This makes sense to me since RS said the twins questioned his "intentions". I'm sure there will be many producer driven ITM's of the cast questioning Josh's motives.  He gets wind of people talking behind his back and is ticked off feeling like they are trying to sabotage his relationship with Amanda. This is one of those situations that the producers yearn for. They know the weaknesses of a cast member (in this case Josh's bad temper) and they do everything in their power to manifest it.  I'm sure that was part of their plan all along in getting both him and Nick on the show together. CH pretty much hates Josh because of his "close" friendship with Andi.  Josh went onto this show already with a target on his back IMO.  

I just hope that drama is just the one episode and the rest of the time they actually show the love story.  If these two were truly the "power" couple a la Janner like RS said, I would have expected less drama and more romance.

I don't see it lasting on many levels. And that's ok.
I will wait to see what we are shown(knowing that it's been edited) vs what RS says.  One never knows what actually happened. 
With that being said, there is no excuse ever to lose your temper like a hurricane and be out of control and certainly once children are involved there is never any excuse. I know with my own grandson, he watches the adults very closely whenever our tone of voice changes and I would expect it could be scary to see someone lose control or their temper.

Tanner/Jade don't have all the drama/challenges Josh/Amanda have. Tanner/Jade are the gold standard. Amanda/Josh don't even come close JMO

Why are you assuming that the twins read Andi's book? Just maybe that the twins living closely with Josh is what they are basing this on. I think they would have a better idea of what was happening than any of us.

Josh is just way too intense. Maybe the kids will lighten him up. He doesn't seem good at letting things roll off his back.

First- (and this is not directed personally at you, Alanna) let's go back to topic and not on other couples.
Second(and this is directed at you, Alanna) I very much agree on your second paragraph. This is for all of us. It's time for him to move on and live in the present and be accountable for present actions.

I totally agree that Josh needs to be accountable for his outbursts.  No question.  If he wants to have any chance of this working with Amanda he needs to get his temper in check.

As far as the drama on episode 4, if the twins had issues with Josh and warned Amanda because of his behavior while there, that is one thing. That is totally justifiable and I would probably do the same.  But knowing how manipulative the producers can be and knowing how pre-conceived notions are such a hard thing to overcome, I just think Josh had an uphill battle going into that environment just weeks after the book was released.  Even if the cast didn't read the actual book before filming, there were excerpts and interviews all over the tabloids with some of the most negative stuff blasted in the headlines.  I think it's very naive to think that the twins and most of the cast weren't aware of what Andi said about Josh in her book.  And with their friend obviously falling for him, they would be very, very cautious. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it actually played out to know how dramatic it actually was and Amanda's reaction to it all.  Josh doesn't follow that many people on IG from the franchise so the fact that he started following the twins makes me think they must have resolved their issues.

So Josh is just now leaving Cali. So unless he was hiding out by himself in some hotel it would seem like he was probably hanging out with the twins and Amanda's sister this weekend too.

That's what I think too.

In addition to what you posted, upthread, I can see how he may blow his cool with more accusations after the book deal. Maybe it's someone like Amanda that he needs to realize there's no need for outbursts. She may be the calming one in the relationship. She probably has more patience because she's a Mom.
