Those were nothing IMO, I don't even remember the JP thing you mentioned and I was literally obsessed with every detail that season.  I don't find those things comparable at all to Jordan's messy life.  JMO.
And even if they are compared the diff to me is I very much watched with my own 2 eyes JP and Shawn turn into little puddles of mush with googly eyes as they fell head over heel in love on the show.  I loved every minute of both love stories.  Jojo and Jordan, nah, not even close to the same for me. Purely from the show, I get nothing I like from Jordan as a romantic interest for Jojo, JMO.

Re Aaron, he literally has not said one word about Jordan on the Bachelorette, so don't know how he's been drawn into this discussion so much.  But since he's a topic I find him hilarious and very media savvy (he has to be) and am a big fan.  I don't in any way think I know the real him or think he's perfect.  I just really like the guy from what I've seen through filtered media.  His brother as seen through a filtered tv show, not so much.  JMO.

Ha. I personally thought that was hilarious. I like Russell Wilson too. But come on. When the athletes are all "God is on our side!! God loves the Seahawks!!" like Russell Wilson loves to do, well, obnoxious. I thought Aaron Rodgers was hilarious there. On point. And self aware.

So what does that really leave? That Jordan isn't close to Aaron? My father has 5 siblings and he and his other siblings haven't seen their youngest sister in 6 years. No family is perfect. I could name quite a few couples from this show that have had some baggage to deal with, but I won't to keep the thread on topic. Pretty much everyone has some sort of baggage, whether small or big and that's how it goes. You either stay with someone because you love them and want to be with them, regardless of the baggage or you don't. It is what it is. It's no different with JoJo and Jordan. IMO

Keeping in mind he is speaking to his potential future wife...
1) IMO he can't lie (eg make up something about scheduling conflicts)
2) IMO he can't blow it off as that risks tabloid sensationalism (eg no comment- what is he really gay? Is there a huge scandal here!? And more worringly producers start putting pressure on JoJo about how he's hiding something huge making it far worse!)

At the end of the day, I feel like he stuck to the facts as we can verify through all of their SM so no surprises here (I love him but I have chosen to stay close to my parents and Luke, and thus he won't be there)

His statement about not knowing what it's like to be in his shoes with the pressure he feels IMO was non-judging and supportive... it leaves the door open for when Aaron breaks up with Olivia and he realises girlfriends come and go but families (even imperfect ones) are forever...JMHO

It is annoying that because Luke and Aaron wrote something about their Grandpa on SM and tagged each other...that it assumed that Aaron did not honor his Grandpa or attend his funeral. Aaron has a published article talking about how extremely close he was to his Grandpa and Grandma and called them before every game. They were/are mentors in his life. Aaron was off practice and on a private jet at the time of his Grandpas funeral....so unless someone attended and says he did not come see his Grandma, I will give all of them the benefit of doubt and trust they honored the love of their Grandpa...each in his own way.
My take on the 3 brothers is they are all very competitive and one got enormous athletic success and the other two didn't. No doubt that has caused issues. As a parent myself...I don't understand the parents dumping one son over something trivial like a GF...or actually over anything at all.
I think Jordan used the relationship situation to take a shot at Aaron and to elevate himself. In the long run all the public airing of the personal laundry does is drive a huge wedge in the relationships and make everyone look bad. There are no winners in family estrangement.
I think JoJo and Jordan will have to keep answering questions about this for entire media tour. JoJo's brother Matt is very private and Ben is more public on SM. Some people just like keeping their personal life more private. To each his own.
I personally like the Gandhi comment. It makes the point without being graphic detail.
