Yes. Her mom was married to a man named George Patton and had the two boys, got divorced, got remarried to Jo's dad, who had two kids of his own (Peter and Rachel), and together, they had Jo. I love seeing how much the boys adore their baby sis

^ It's really sweet to see how close JoJo is to her four siblings and it's also really sweet to see how close Rachel, Peter, Ben and Matt are too.

I didn't realize that Ben and Matt were partners, but from a Google search, it looks like not only is Ben a CEO of a hospital in Dallas, but he and Matt run other businesses as well and they helped build an orphanage in Uganda among other things. I noticed today that JoJo referenced the "Patton Hope Foundation" in her picture from visiting the children's hospital too. The girl definitely has some great role models in her life. IMO.

And it shows, whenever I see or hear her my first thought is
this girl was deeply loved. She is so lovely, kind and thoughtful.
The confidence she has can only come from that.

I always think this too, it's why she's so confidently able to deal with things like the Chad naggy comment imo. Where the breakdown happens with men is so sad to me and makes no sense. She's obviously been very loved and nurtured her whole life, so why she thinks she doesn't deserve a guy that loves and genuinely treats her as she's the only girl in the world is totally surprising to me. Luckily, she has time to grow up and get there in her life.

She seems so secure in herself as a person and so comfortable and confident in her skin, without the need to belittle others to build herself up.  Plus a maturity and well spoken nature beyond her years IMO.  Too bad she hasn't figured out how to choose the right guy yet, but she'll get there I'm sure.  I think her family seems really wonderful and clearly she has a great deal of positive love and support in her corner.

Alanna I know you will get it though. Simply if you were
never shown that treatment you won't recognize it. But she will
learn contrary to some thoughts.

Some of us just need enough of the wrong to learn that we deserve better. I look at Des with Chris and Brooks. She tried to repeat pattern, but thankfully never really closed Chris out. I am hoping for that for for JoJo too. If not I hope his is a situation that gets her closer to accepting and demanding the kind of love we all deserve.

What a nice discussion tonight. I like JoJo too and she has a wonderful family. I also hope this ends well for her. It might mean she has to go through a break up to finally realize what she deserves and what is most definitely out there. I am anxious to see how the season plays out. I am going to be watching for SH visits and looking for clues in her SM.
