Bachelor New Zealand - Jordan Mauger - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing* - *Spoilers*- #2

So here's what is bothering me...

Jordan never seems vulnerable or scared that any of the girls will leave or won't approach him or reciprocate his feelings (that is if he has any for them...). Rather, he seems pi55ed off at the idea that anyone won't approach him and so far when a girl has not approached him they are in the bottom 2 or eliminated no matter if they had a date or not.

It all seems so one-sided, with Jordan only caring about who approaches him and not because he has feelings so worried they don't feel the same but moreso that they are not focused on him and stroking his ego.

I have yet to see Jordan actually really open up and be vulnerable and be scared if a girl would leave. So far he says a lot of words but acts like he couldn't care less if he eliminates someone who doesn't approach him.

That Fleur didn't approach him last ep and was in bottom two and now Naz doesn't approach him and in bottom two is definitely a theme of Jordan's. He keeps bringing it up from the beginning and in written interviews about the girls approaching him and grilled Fleur about her not approaching him last week until she made sure to do so at CP and then in top 2 at RC.

I think the person playing the most games this season and not really there for the right reasons is Jordan.

He sure has a weird way of dating/looking for love.
But he seems genuine in his words though. And on his insta and intro it seems like he is family oriented and ready to settle down.... hmmm

Too true and The Bachelor is a weird way to date/look for love. He's probably a nice guy but hard for me to gauge when most of his words are VOs and then in conversation he seems to be interviewing rather than feeling anything? Not sure...

One of the problems though with IG and edit for me is that people can post and make themselves look even better that way. It would be nice if Jordan actually did some promotional interviews on radio/tv for his season but alas, it is near over now and nothing to glean from to find out more about him.

At the end of the day I am just not sure this show - as weird as it is - was suited for him. Perhaps being an actor who is used to cameras but now must not act while on reality-tv wasn't his forte.

I still think Jordan's not chasing any of them and just wants them to chase him and going by his whole "they must approach me or else they're in the bottom two" recurring theme.

Naz and Fleur at least show emotion and sadly it is when they are in the bottom two that that emotion comes to the surface. I am not sure who the F1 is but honestly I think the lot of them can do better than him, imo.

Regarding the bold, it sure is.
The French bachelors have always been the least genuine about founding love in my eyes hence i skipped this season. It's no fun to watch an actor in this type of show.
I hope he will open up more for the final 3 girls.

^ I've been watching the French Bachelor and so far I have liked the season (unrealistic it may be) - although the Bachelor is Italian There's more of a love story with that show than this one though (with the lead nervous, awkward and dorky around his potential F1 whom he is falling for), imo.

Yes, I am also hoping Jordan will open up. I just want him to throw me a bone. The bar is so low for him right now that when he closes his eyes and relaxes his jaw when kissing I am thinking it is "romantic" If he stops talking about the girls approaching him I will keel over.

When are the home dates? Aren't they usually top 4?

They are usually top 4 but only top 3 will have HTDs this season.

Bringing this forward for easy reference and updated to include info for Ep 15.
- Since only 3 HTDs not sure what that means for FDs so no one goes home after HTDs?
- Or someone goes home after HTD and only 2 FDs and no RC?

Jordan asking why Fleur never approached him at last CP.

Fleur saying she wanted to be at that point with the girls it had become a game of who is going to approach Jordan and more of a game/competition than real connection and she didn't want to play that game.

Jordan says that after their volcano date things plateaued because she never approached him and where do they stand now.

Fleur tells Jordan her feelings are real and she is scared and doesn't want to get hurt.

haha does not bode well for fleur but who knows jordan is maybe upset and has a big crush on fleur and decided to wait all those weeks to see if she was ever interested and showed some signs?

versus naz who had just a wonderful 2nd date, very warm and fun....

,,,,,, maybe jordan prefer cold versus warm?
