JMHO: Ben and Lauren need time to get to know each other better. I think they're a great couple but what they don't need is pressure to set a date, etc. etc. They're still living in the "bubble."

None.

In fact 2 of 5 couples waited over a year to announce a date.

Trista & Ryan engaged fall 2002; finale aired February 2003; announced May 2003; married Dec 2003

Molly & Jason - finale aired/ATFR July 2009; engaged October 2009; announced date in between these two dates; married February 2010

Ashley & JP - engaged summer of 2011; finale airs August 2011; set date in October 2012; married Dec 2012

Sean & Catherine - engaged fall 2012; finale airs March 2013; set day October 2013; married February 2014

Des & Chris - engaged summer 2013; finale airs August 2013; set date October 2014; married January 2015

The finale for Jason's season was in March 2009, not July. The season aired from January 5, 2009 to March 2, 2009. Smiley

I wasn't necessarily rushing them to wed more like thinking even if they were to set a date, I think they would probably have to wait on the show to do it for them was basically my question. Thats if they're even considering it to be televised. Whenever it does happen or not, I'll be more than happy. I actually don't think they're living in the bubble that much anymore. I mean spending a good amount of time with the in-laws is pretty real life stuff to me. You don't get that in the bubble. They've been attached to the hip. Moving is the real test but I'd say getting along with the in-laws and spending quality time with them is pretty much a solid start. If you can pass those type of hurdles then moving in with your fiancé will be a little less hectic now that the families are well adjusted with your relationship. The rest is just normal couples stuff and figuring out if you can live together forever for better or worst. JMO

IMO the bubble bursts as soon as everyone gets a good night's sleep, stops drinking, isn't getting taken aside every waking moment to answer producer's questions with a camera rolling, and there's no longer someone manipulating you with "you're going to have beautiful babies" words of encouragement. What they are doing now - spending time with parents / friends is not a test or hurdle that has to be overcome - that's the fun part of things and the reward for jumping all the hurdles to get to this point - as long as what you have is real.

I def think abc will televise Ben & Lauren's wedding. Ben was a popular Bachelor and I think the ratings for his show were good too. IMO they already have it in the works and will discuss more with Ben & Lauren , Ben said they want to marry in late 2016 which is right when the New bachelor will begin Or early 2017 which would bring us around this time next year when the Bachelor show airs & finishs up. When I heard Ben yell out to his pastor Denny to "just stay in LA" that to me was a litle sign that Ben knows it will be in LA. CH did so much wedding talk on ATFR that I doubt very much their going to pass up a TV wedding for Ben. Ben & Lauren are not opposed to it so im sure it will happen. Cant wait! :yes:

A range of dates that so happens to coincide pretty closely with dates that past couples have married on (as posted by kikora a page back). My guess is that those dates didn't just come out of thin air - I suspect there have been discussions about this already. As Diana posted - "Who says they haven't set a date?"
