IMO they want to get her moved to Denver first. One thing at a time. And they probably let the door open for possible televised wedding. But IMO it is healthier to not try to concentrate on too many big things at one time, pay the 'Lauren moves to Denver' enough attention, it's a huge thing.

Any idea why they haven't set a wedding date yet? Besides the obvious that it's too soon and they want to enjoy their engagement first. If they really do want a televised wedding, do you think they might be waiting for the show to come up with a date for them to work with? Just a thought.

IMO, they've been so busy traveling and trying to enjoy a normal life that they probably haven't set one yet. I could see them sitting down and making real plans once they're in Denver. Honestly I don't think we will know about it right away. Besides a few appearances (IU) we will soon only be updated through their SM accounts. I could see them teasing us with an announcement of a season, but not the actual date. JMO. Wedding planning can be intimate between your fiancé, family and close friends. When I was wedding planning, I shared few details with people that were not close to me.

IMO - in a word - yes.

IIRC it was Kasha who posted that while televised weddings look lavish and extravagant, a number of corners are cut (in a way that doesn't seem obvious on TV) from what a really high-end wedding with no budget might contain. Some of the things that get scaled back might include a cash bar, a limited number of venues, wedding dates that may fall into a venue's "off season", lack of an inclement weather alternative to an outside wedding (as with Jason & Molly's wedding where it rained - and everyone got wet), limited guest lists, etc. It still may be a wedding that even with the scale-backs normal people on a budget couldn't afford to do on their own, and a couple might well decide that it's a good bargain even with certain compromises.

I also think some couples might see a televised wedding as a way to "give something back" to supportive fans and in the case of Ben and Lauren they really seem to be appreciative of the support of their fans. IMO as long as a consideration of a televised wedding is on the table, the show is going to be the one that really determines where, when, and how much - not the couple. The couple is, IMO, likely to use nebulous words like "soon" or "very soon" or "fall 20xx" but likely not a specific date. I think if it's a televised wedding, then the show is going to release the date. If the couple releases the date then it's probably not going to be televised.

Posting the way you did is totally acceptable. When there are a lot of SM pics out there with a lot of fans, sometimes it's best to just post the link so we don't clutter up pages of fan pics who we aren't really looking at anyway.

I've been around the block with this show- pretty much have watched all the seasons. NONE of the successful couples that actually got married gave wedding specifics, especially this early. They have all used the same vague language. "Everything has gone so fast so far, focused on being in public and joining our lives, focused on moving in together, we want to get married soon, but no rush blah, blah." Wedding planning for these couples has to be a little complicated. IF ABC decides to pick you up, you aren't going to know until a couple months in advance. If ABC doesn't pick you up (so far only Des/Chris- but they were the last couple, so it's hard to say if that's a president that's been set, or if they were just an anomaly), well then you need to plan a wedding the more traditional way, and that takes more time. So, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Do you start planning for real, or bank on ABC picking you up kinda last minute? Jason/Molly, JP/Ashley (and I'm sure SeanCat and Trista/Ryan too), really only had like 2 months max from ABC setting the date to actual wedding. It works out, because obviously ABC does everything for you.

Bottom line, Ben and Lauren have only been together 4 months. I imagine they are only starting to REALLY know each other right now, IRL. They have the move ahead of them, and once that happens things will get really real for them. I'm guessing next fall we might get more hints what the actual plan is. I think they'd be smart to wait and see if ABC picks them up- it would likely be a December/January wedding if that's the case, and if they don't, they should know by the fall and then they can start planning on their own ala Des.
