The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - MTP -LCD - FRC - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I just find it a bit unusual to not show footage of how the couple is moving forward together by having these conversations. I get that the show has it's own story etc. But in the end, the lead normally gets engaged to one persons. And for the viewer, they need to show the progress/steps made toward that end. And to me, the decision to go with one over another should be based not only on feelings but based on serious discussions where you talk about life goals etc. I hope it happens in the LCD but to me that should have been aired before. When I go back to the recent seasons of the show, as far as I am aware, most, if not all, the lead engaged in some kind of discussion - on air re life after the show. Again, I hope it is aired at least in this last episode. But maybe the fact that we haven't seen it being discussed is because it hasn't been discussed as Ben seems to be pretty caught up in the bubble. But this is just all in my opinion.

^^^Aviej, that coversation, imo, either occurs during FD or during this upcoming show. So let's hope it happens!!

From the last "to be continued"

I watched a video clip this morning of a girl thinking about her future and what it might look like without a guy in it - and like Trista's word to Ryan, her words have left an indelible mark on me. I could not see anything from every tear rolling down her cheek to every crack in her voice to every look in her eyes that didn't strike me as sincere - and real. I have a new "favorite moment" about this show - one for the history books.

I remember back when Lauren and Ben talked about what they wanted in their life and Ben said he wanted the kind of love he saw in his mother's eyes when she was facing the possible loss of his father. I don't know if he's seen that clip yet or not but my words to him are "Ben if you haven't - then watch it. You're looking for that kind of love? Well - there it is"

To be continued ... This isn't over yet ...

Yes, I hope it happens. And I wish them all the best. Ben is a great guy and I hope that they last and that JoJo finds her man in her season as well. I just felt that had I been privy to those kinds of conversations, I would have been better able to connect to them as a couple more, is all.

I understand I was just wondering if Ben and JoJo had those discussions that I missed.  I wish we could really see what's on the cutting room floor because it would tell us so much more.

Aww Geez Lucas! That's a beautiful memory to recall and a most excellent point. I also have to thank the "follow the feet" analogy . I told that to my hubby and now as he walks over to hug me, he says, "follow my feet, they're coming towards ya".

Alright ladies and gents we are half way there

IMO conversations abut the future happen most seasons, but are generally not shown for a couple of reasons. One is that if they only happen with one person, it's very telling as to the outcome which the show tries to hide. So - if you show one you have to show many and many may not have actually happened.

Secondly those conversations don't make for compelling TV unless they have some bearing on the storyline. Example - Brad asked Ashley H what she saw in her future and Ashley's answer had not a single thing to do with Brad being in it - thus it closed the loop on a storyline of why he did not pick her. IIRC this season there actually was a conversation between Ben and Lauren - on their first 1-1 date on episode 3. The only other mention is upcoming on the final episode where (according to previews) JoJo mentions that they have not talked about where they will live or what they will do - JoJo even mentions Ben will be in Denver and she will be in Dallas. That was, IMO, left in because just like with Brad and Ashley - it shows a disconnect - JoJo should have asked Ben where they would move to so they could be together.

I can't see it. After the initial commercial it just goes black.

Thank you. Once again we HEAR been say, we've put her through hell and back.

He also learned quickly , you can hide but you can run from the microphones .
