Bachelor New Zealand - Jordan Mauger - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing* - *Spoilers*

Watching the show and getting distracted by all the sites. I stayed at the resort where Jordan and Alicia had there one on one this winter. Hawaii is beautiful and I loved my christmas vaca. That being said. I see more chemistry between Alicia and him than Cheri. I also think the edit is better but Jordan seems more comfortable and more invested in these dates.

Actually no one found out or confronted Storm about kissing Jordan at the last CP. they did talk about how it would be rude though. It was just a sneaky cut and misdirect by TPTB. It was Lara who jokingly said the words "you can stop kissing him now" to Kate while she was having alone time with at the CP. Kate was just sitting there talking to him- no kissing involved.

So no one has kissed Jordan in front of the others until tonight's episode where Naz pressures him for one and it looks as though he's smart enough to give her one on the cheek rather than a big smackaroo on the lips. Can't wait to see her face when he does that!

OK 1 thought on Ep7 alone: the only front runner with any time was Storm, and it was a convo about having strong feelings and being insecure... based on that I would call F1!

But Fleur is definitively a dark horse

Thanks @Katiebelle for confirming that the preview for Episode 7 was not as it turned out regarding Storm. It begs the question why the producers deliberately did the mis-direction with Storm IMO. They basically had that post on the bachelor NZ FB before Episode 7 to make it seem Storm's kissing was going to be the focus of the CP only for it to be a moot point. I am really as I can't figure this season out.

And regarding the comment by Jordan shown in the preview for Fleur's date later tonight about how he can't imagine taking anyone else on the date (paraphrasing), didn't Jordan say the same thing regarding Rebecca's date? If he did then I am wondering if Jordan is repeating standard lines (especially if they are voice overs) on the dates which albeit could be true because it appears he is invested in both Rebecca & Fleur based on what we have seen so far, all JMO.

Amazing how everyone seems to pick out what I have missed. @Katiebelle mentioned some gossip from Christchurch indicating Storm is F1.  I also have several friends in Christchurch and the gossip mill is that Storm becomes F1 when asked for evidence there is none, just that they heard through a friend of a friend type of thing. Which can mean absolutely nothing. However, it has influenced my perceptions. So I must not let gossip sway my opinion. As yet I have not noticed any posts on SM commenting on this gossip.I have been looking for any hint in SM comments, so at this stage there is no other indication from people. NZ is so small someone would have posted by now,surely ? Last year there were so many comments on SM stating that Matilda was F1.

I have been watching Cheri and Jordan closely simply based on a clue provided by Mike Puru that the F1 is very sweet and has been through a lot. Jordan is interested in her however as others have suggested she is young and seems to be holding back a little.This could change. Cheri has a certain charm and vulnerability.

I am not sure about Alicia as Jordan said he liked her quirky nature but wondered if was too much.  Sometimes, I wonder if these statements are a red herring.(Though he did seem fascinated by her enthusiastic nature.) Somehow Fleur with her calm, steady demeanor and her connection to Jordan could really connect on a physical level in the next episode.

And to just add to the confusion TV3 have added yet another video of Storm talking to Jordan under the heading "Best Bits".

Was she so hidden at the beginning of the season that they are trying to make up for it and highlight their relationship now? Or are they using their physical edit for a smoke screen for another relationship?

The problem is that, IMO, no other relationship has really progressed. He had great dates with Sarah and Rebecca but there hasn't been much shown between them since. And as for Fleur, their relationship (not that the viewer has seen) coming into episode 8 hasn't actually taken off yet either. The only consistent relationship that TPTB have shown us, is his with Storm - and they have been giving her the physical edit.

Arggggghh...... they are making it very difficult for us to sleuth!

Regarding the bold - IA the Ceri is a very sweet girl but IMO that's the problem she's a girl and he wants a woman. I'm not sure if she's at the right stage in her life to settle down and have a family either - something that he said he's hoping for. Also her head seems to be in the clouds and his feet are firmly planted on the ground.

But its all JMO!

From someone's opinion who is very detached emotionally but still too interested in this franchise to ignore this NZ season, here is my 2 cennes...

Storm: she did not give me great connection vibes at their single date. But seeing them at the cocktail party and kissing, I thought: wow, she is top 2 or 3, no doubt. I also recall a dark brunette in the ocean looking very much like her in the promo. I was kinda surprised about the kisses to be honest.

Fleur: she is constantly seen in between and showed as a very very sweet woman. I strongly remember seeing platinum blond woman in the ocean with Jordan. So my take is that she is too top 2 or 3. But I need to see their single date to make comparisons.

Rebecca: there is something about her that jordan is falling for. I felt he was very much into her. I felt she was a bit cold though, very very reserved, more than normal. The kiss at the end of the date was so badly producers orchestrated, totally not natural.

Those are for me the front runners. They all have in common a very very reserved personality, class and maturity. I like them. It is hard for me to put their F1 F2 F3 position yet. Storm may be the #1 but only because of the cocktail kiss and we know that means nothing.

It is hard to really tell because NZ are very reserved versus the other franchises and do not touch physically much either.

Great feedback on the season everyone....I am still hopeful we will crack the nut in terms of the order of the final girls soon with the screen caps as we progress through the season...it should be about 3 weeks left after this week IMO.

@Katiebelle could you please describe the "Beat Bits" video between Storm & Jordan for those of us that can't view....just wondering if it was conversation based this time around...TIA

What I find interesting about Rebecca/Jordan...

Rebecca (not Fleur/Storm) that got an introduction video. Was that because she got the FIR or because she's a frontrunner?

During the cocktail party in episode 3 Rebecca was sitting on the couch with Shari/Jordan. When Shari left Rebecca/Jordan are walking in the same direction for a chat which wasn't shown

When Rebecca got the second rose in Episode 5 she was all giggly/blushing. What caused her to do that? She's normally more composed

When Rebecca/Jordan went off for their one on one chat at the rose ceremony during episode 6 they didn't show their conversation. They walked off hand in hand when it was light outside. The conversation they showed was when it was dark as if they had just started talking.

I noticed with the kiss on their single date the bear was on the ground. Had they kissed before but the production wanted to get a better shot? Jordan seemed to be really into that kiss with his hands on Rebecca's face. She was moving back to end the kiss and he kept moving forward.

The only date Jordan has posted on Instagram with one of the women is Rebecca. He could have just posted a shot of the carousel.

On the Bachelor NZ website they've posted Rebecca/Jordan's date calling it "A Date to Remember" "A Romance that Feels like it's Straight from the Movies"

At the rose ceremonies Rebecca touches his cheek with her hand when she gives him a kiss. To me that's a sign of endearment.

She does seem to be holding back in group settings more so than Fleur or Storm. I think she makes up for it during their one on one time
