IMO the guys that can't get past just seeing a terrific body won't be around long. Of course there are always a few producer picks that are kept for the drama. JoJo seems like an intelligent woman that will see through the guys there for the wrong reasons.

Thanks for clarifying this @Nonina430! I couldn't understand why Brooks would marginalize Jojo and make misogynistic comments about her. It sounded so out of character for Brooks when he seemed quite attracted to Jojo, preferring her over Lauren. 

I wouldn't be surprised to find contestants that are intimidated by Jojo. Jojo is stunning, with a nice personality and is well liked by others on the show - not just Ben. She comes from a rather well-to-do family (both parents are doctors) with a college education and career of her own. Her parents are heavily involved in charitable pursuits, so it would be tough to label them as snooty or as taking themselves too seriously. Only the parents appeared on the ATFR show in support of their daughter, but the brothers & sister didn't add drama. Hmm... maybe it won't be the circus some predict.

I actually wondered if Ben's reaction was more surprise it was Jojo not Caila being named 'Ette.  And him wondering just how long discussions had been going on with Jojo to become 'Ette.  I don't think it was because he had a what might have been moment or was still stuck on her.  JMO.

It can be seen as amusing that some still think Ben is still hung up on Jo. But in truth, I think the reverse is more plausible . She's the one with a hole in her heart to fill. That void. Not Ben. And thus, her new gig. :Nod:

Is it possible that Ben didn't know JoJo was the next lead? The rumors were out there and he's close to the decision makers on the show. He made his choice with Lauren but having feelings for JoJo wouldn't surprise me. JoJo said she would always have a place in her heart for Ben. I would imagine he feels the same way. It wouldn't diminish his love for Lauren IMO. Old loves are bittersweet.

I think both parties have moved on from the other a looooooooong time ago. JMO

Being involved in making the decision is different than knowing about the decision. I think Ben's saying he wasn't involved in the lead decision is because he has gotten so many questions about not going with Caila or anyone else seen as a more culturally diverse choice. He seems to be tired of being asked.

The only one that knows how Ben felt when JoJo was announced is Ben.

JoJo IMO is a great pick for the next lead. I think she will draw a lot of viewers to the show.
