The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Episode 9 - Discussion - #2 *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

IMO Ben told them both he loved them because he was actually in this as a person trying to find someone for the rest of his life.  Not just worry about what viewers would think.  I understand this upsets people, but imo, he felt it and so he said it like he would in normal life.  Is it brutal to the final two?  Yes.  But imo he did not do it to hurt anyone or for the viewers or producers.  Also, they came on the bachelor!!  Knowing that they would be dating a man who had feelings for other people.  He may be coming across as a "tool" because he wasn't trying to be politically correct by holding back like most have done, but he likely was pushed by tptb to say it back to more than one if he wanted to. My guess is tptb tried to get him to say ILY to all three and he wouldn't, because he didn't feel it.  I also think he and his F1 can handle this all, as tough as it likely is, because as opposed to many other bachelors, he allowed himself to really feel these things and let his heart lead him.  
Oh, and I understand speculation of who slept with who is part of the sleuthing talk, but unless you were in that room, you have no idea if he did anything, besides literally sleep with anyone.  Neither does RS btw.  
As far as the blog, I haven't read it, but keep in mind how much they censored Sharleen's blog they aren't supposed to have any control over.  Imagine the control they have over "his" blog.
Just my opinion and two cents for the morning.  I am guessing it won't be a popular one, but that os where my thoughts are for today.

In that finale preview though, JoJo appears perhaps a little more confident, though hard to tell....and Lauren appears more doubtful......that is usually a predictor of an F1.

He's afraid of Jo's bros. I truly mean that. He's trying to get across that he really "loved" her imo although he didn't pick her jmo but I think the truth is somewhere in there.

I actually agree with all of this. And in the end he chose the girl he just simply couldn't let go of.

I'm confused...wasn't it sleuthed that Lauren's FS date was last and they showed them out of order? But in Ben's blog makes it seem like the tv order was what actually happened.

If Lauren's date was really last then it all is spin IMO to make him really look confused. From what I saw Lauren's "I Love Yous" were more varied than Jojo's. Several of the times Ben said ILY to Jojo's seemed to be voice overs where I couldn't actually see his mouth moving with the same wording and inflection "I love you, Jojo." Could TPTB have repeated the ILY to make it look like Ben said it more than he did?

Am at work and not supposed to be on here at all, but I just had to say that I TOTALLY AGREE with your post!!! Back to work!!

Why would he need to make things right to Lauren in his blog? I doubt she even reads it! He can physically talk to her, text her, etc. There's no reason to sugar coat his blog or make it a love letter to her. It's a blog...not even a personal one at that. It's a part of his job as the bachelor. It's not his real life, what's going on now, words. JMO

Ben has to write the blog to coordinate what was shown on TV.

THANK YOU!  .  I feel like I always say something wrong, so I was scared to post but had to because.. Ben is definitely getting some heat.  Just trying to offer other reasons for it all that aren't so sinister as he is a jerk.  Because (imo) he is not.  At all.

Where end of season scandals and drama are concerned, I really think this is one of the minor ones. Anyone else feel that? I mean, it's cringeworthy, immature, and dumb at worst, IMO.
