^ One thing that I noticed is that many of them are Lauren fans judging by their comments or their accounts so I think it's the typical "my favorite is better!"

The good thing is that most of the comments aren't directed at her. It's more so that she has crazy and overprotective brothers. She is definitely doing a good job handling it all though it seems. It's interesting because there have been plenty of well liked F2's in the past, but JoJo might be a favorite IMO.

Ouch. Poor, JoJo. Was her family THAT bad? I didn't think so.

I noticed that too. When it comes down to the F2, then it becomes a competition for that coveted F1 spot. Not so much with JoJo and Lauren, but with their fans!

^not in my opinion. It wasn't the best HTD I've ever seen, but it certainly wasn't the worst.
If JoJo didn't hold a special place in his heart, he would've let her go at F4, I believe.

The brothers may have tried to look like they were being protective but IMO they came off looking like hot shot big mouth brothers.

For me personally I have little patience for rude unreasonable people. They looked like idiots arguing and accusing of Ben being coached where in fact, they were probably the ones that were coached, plus the edit doesn't help. How would they know if JoJo was more into Ben then he was into her? That whole scene IMO came off pretty bad. It doesn't look good on her family. Especially her mother drinking out of the bottle, which I admit I didn't even notice during epi night until Katiebelle mentioned it. What's wrong with sitting down and having a conversation on the side like they always do with the brothers/sisters/parents, rather than approaching Ben the way they did in the kitchen.

I can understand why they would be getting negative posts directed towards them.

Agreed GA. There are such things as being gracious. It's not what you say but also how you say it that reveals what you really are. Matt failed on both ends. They did treat Ben like he had no class and was truly beneath them . Sad really.

Who knows what TPTB told her family before Ben rolled in. I can only imagine. And then add alcohol.
All I can say is, thank goodness my now-hubs didn't judge me by my family. That's probably why I have a soft spot for JoJo and her family.

I actually like JoJo, but I thought that both of her brothers acted ridiculous at her HTD.  When she walked in the door, you would have thought that they hadn't seen her in years, not weeks.  Their behavior just seemed way over-the-top and a little cringe-worthy.

If that was all a setup by the producers, then shame on them for going along with it.  They didn't do JoJo any favor by acting that way, and in fact they probably ruined any chance she had that Ben would ultimately choose her at the end.

I think that they could have still gotten their point across to Ben without having to say a lot of the things that they did.  And I am not surprised that they are receiving negative comments on SM now, but it is unfortunate for JoJo to have to deal with it.

There behavior was OTT because that is what was asked for and they delivered.
Maybe they are auditioning for their own family reality series. That would be original.
If I had been Ben I would have about faced, nicely excused myself and left. That's me.

Well he did feel he was being demonized. That they were thinking he was that evil. So now he wants to prove them wrong but in the end, he might prove them right.

I thought it was right up there with the worst HTDs. It started out badly with the ex stuff and then spiraled down when they went to see her family. Ben seemed pushed out of the way when they arrived. Did anyone even greet him? Her brothers were way too OTT for it to be normal behavior imo. I don't think I've ever seen a lead be less welcomed in any HTD. I really felt for Ben more than Jojo because it was her family. I still like her but I never want to see her family/brothers on my tv again.

The family was so OTT about Joo's entrance you would have thought it was the 2nd coming. I wanted the camera to pan the floor to see if anyone actually peed in excitement. It was shark frenzy over fresh chum. A dog who hadn't seen his owner in a month.
If that wasn't scripted, this family needs meds pronto.
Then the obvious rudeness to the main. It had to be scripted, imo, I can't imagine anyone being that rude to a stranger being welcomed into your home. I'm glad there were no box cutters or knives present.
Most of all, I am still very concerned as to what happened to the sister. Do they keep her locked in a box and allow her out only for meals? Or did she simply refuse to take place in that farce? :Nod:
