The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - F1 to F4 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers* - #2

Ben seems like a smart enough guy, so whether he ends up with Lauren or Jojo, I'm just going to trust that he's able to tell if it's just infatuation or if it's something that might actually last. JMO

I just think it's really hard in that environment to tell the difference. We've had really smart people as leads, like doctors and lawyers and business owners, and they've all fell into that trap. I think the most promising thing about Ben/F1 making it is that he does seem a lot more level-headed and realistic than the typical lead. JMO.

I find that in the epi's prior to HTD's there's still so much drama & relationships really take a back seat. It gets a bit easier to get a grasp on the relationships when we start seeing second 1:1's; but once we're at HTD's, there isn't the drama to contend with (nor the # of women). So it's my opinion we get a much better picture later on.

I think I'm going to like Ben & Lauren better off-screen than on-screen.

So far, I'm trying but it's not there. For instance, when Lauren said she'd like to meet his parents, I think the show wanted me to gush at the cuteness... but I felt meh. She said it was a slip, but I believe she was consciously being flirty & letting Ben know she's into him, which is fine, but in reading her face & how self-aware she is, I really don't believe it was a slip. So little things like that add to my overall disinterest. They're both image-conscious. Strangely makes me appreciate Kaitlyn/Shawn for their openness. I never felt either was scripting in their head.  

I completely see that Ben looks at Lauren in a different way.. and I think it's beyond spoiler bias. I also do like his interaction with Jojo, but it's not something incredibly enticing either. Their kisses are nice & laced with chemistry though. Another thing - I understand their date was cut short because of weather, but then why not show more of their dinner portion? Her story was very spliced up which I find interesting. With Caila, Jubilee, Lauren... they showed more back & forth flow.

I'm hopeful things will change once it winds down. And I do think Ben & Lauren have the potential to last if it works out. Yet, I'm still interested in seeing how Jojo affects Ben & his decision.

Hi, darlin' I agree with you wholeheartedly. The show is fascinating for me once we hit episode 7 until the end. I like to figure out the conflicts for the lead, F1, and F2 b:c they help me decide if a spoiler is actually a foiler. In the past, I noticed that conflicts start to build in the middle of the season. Above all else, I hope to see a love story this season since Ben seems like a good guy.

I believe she lives here in Dallas also. She said she flips houses here in the 1st episode, she recently went to a Mavs game here, and someone up thread said her son's rent goes to Jojo in Dallas.

Plus, her ex who she seems to share a dog with, owns a salon in Dallas.

Just a vibe but from the fact they chose to show the promise not to blindside JoJo, and the blindside references in preview posted yesterday,  my feeling is JoJo is going to feel blindsided, either cry hysterically or rip Ben a new one, and that is the reason for the anguish we see surrounding him standing at limo.

So, what is the something that happens that has never happened before. ChrisH said that, which means absolutely nothing, but Ben agreed.

I have to say, it really is intriguing that they show Ben at the FRC very happy and smiling. With Sean, they showed him looking all full of angst and with Ashley, they showed her all upset and full of angst.

I still think he meets F2 at the limo and lets her go there, sparing her the walk to the FRC spot and that awful scene we get most season.
Or, they already break up the previous day and she is just saying goodbye on her way to the airport.

I just dont see him taking her all the way to FRC rejection

Or she arrives gets out of limo and tells him I am not going through this, leaving now, I know you're in love with someone else?
