The bachelorettes have frequently sent the F2 home early (Emily, Ali, Andi). Has any Bachelor ever done it?

I'm not sure if a bachelor has. I'm not remembering any of them sending someone home before the FRC.

Charlie O'Connell did, but that was all different and he dated both of them post filming, remember?

I'm pretty sure no Bachelor has ever sent a Bachelorette home early. We have discussed this before and it would be a first.
I just had a thought: Ben said he fell in love with two girls. He also promised Jo-Jo he wouldn't blind side her. This would set up the early dismissal. He tells her that he loves Lauren more and although he loves her(JoJo) he sees a life with Lauren and doesn't want her to have the heartbreak of the FRC and sends her home early.
I'm still trying to put in the reason/timing of his statement that he "still wants her in my life." not sure if that is after the dismissal or before.

Upon watching it again, he tells one girl "honestly I do love you" and the other girl "this is really hard for me because I've known that I'm in love with you for a while as well" then tells his parents "I love both of them"

I'm watching the first part of the episode (I missed it before) and I actually think that Amanda actually sounds exactly like Tenley at times! I was actually surprised to see that Ben was really physically into her, since they seemed so awkward at the carnival.

I'll have to watch that clip again tomorrow. To me there's a difference between saying "I love you" and "I'm in love with you" but I thought the 2nd one ended in "as well" or something like that. Strange.

I liked the date with Lauren H but it's clear that he's not feeling it with her. It's funny that he never took Olivia on a 1 on 1 if he really didn't figure her out earlier. I wasn't any more impressed by Amanda after her date and what she said about her ex. I really hope she's not in the mix for lead. Becca gets the worst hair and fake tan award tonight. What was she thinking? I felt for Jubilee but she's so not cut out for this show (or Bachelorette).

The time away with Lauren B seemed special. Everyone else's was nearby. I still like Jojo but didn't like her pulling him away right after her sent Jubilee home. It reminds me of Nick with Andi.

And watching again I see that CH says that what's never been done before on the show is that he told two women he loved them. Maybe nothing else happens after that. Nothing different.

I think the "I'm in love with you and have known for awhile" was said to Lauren because that lines up with the spoiler that he was going to pick her halfway through. I think he said "as well" because she said it first and he was responding to her.

I haven't stopped by much and didn't read too far back- but curious why people are questioning if they are okay or if he will "pull a Jason"?  Can anyone catch me up on what triggered those worries?  
 I will add that "in my opinion", they are just fine and he will definitely not be pulling a Jason.  BUT I am still curious what I missed.

Ben seems physically into quite a few girls. Hmm, there's that little Ben reference
