The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Premier - Episode 1 - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I am tired of the comeback people. Becca I could have tried to enjoy last summer, this summer I would prefer someone who hasn't already shown me they want to join the Andi&Kaitlyn let's live off SM and being the bachelorette club, Becca is already there, so it is a big no thanks for me.

They're all comeback/wannabe people to me.
They'd all be on 2-3-4 times if they could I am sure, so that's not enough of a reason for me not to want them as lead.
If I wanted someone new then they need to be new, not returnees as lead.  :Nod:

TBF, none of the F5-F2 come across as "I am genuinely on TV to find the love of my life" (roll eyes).
It's ALL about the fame and $$$$ for all of them, imo.
And by the end of it, the newbies will all be shilling products on their SM I bet.  

I think Becca's interest in Ben was genuine. From what I was told by people who would know, he was the only one she would've went back on for. If it were anyone else, she wouldn't have returned. In fact, she turned down BIP because Ben wasn't on it. She was very interested in him for a while.

I never understood why she didn't reach out to him in private then. Kaitlyn's season starting airing in May and Ben didn't sign any contract to be the Bachelor until July or August. That's quite a lot time where she could have DM'd him or gotten his number from Kaitlyn and seen if  there was something there. Cassandra and Tenley both did it! 

Gotta agree with Nick's assessment on this one.

I'll believe Becca went on the show only for Ben about as much as I'd be willing to buy swampland in Arizona.

Basically what I said - that if there was a genuine interest there, he's confused why she didn't get contact with him on her own instead of going on the show. I think the answer is pretty obvious, IMO. I think she genuinely liked Ben, but I also think she was bored with her life and missed the thrill of being on TV and having people discuss and obsess over HER, instead of her ex-sister wives.

But wouldn't she have gone on BIP, since that was before the Bachelor? From what I gather, I believe Becca and Ben were in brief contact, although I don't believe what RS said about Ben directly telling her not to join the season.

Does Becca genuinely like Ben...yes. Would she have done the show if the lead wasn't Ben...yes. JMO.

^ I think that Becca knew Ben was going to be TB so contacting him before (like Nick and K) would not be a good idea. She also never met him in person although she had plenty opportunities to do so. To me it was because she likely knew he was going to be TB and didn't want to be have the exact same storyline as Nick. Being F2 and going on another consecutive season was probably similar enough for her.

Nope. Sorry I disagree. If the lead was someone else? Nick. Um, no.

I do think she went on the show for Ben but also for other reasons to like they all do.

Just because she didn't go on BIP doesn't mean her interest in Ben is genuine. Just means she was waiting for a bigger opportunity and hoping to parlay it into the biggest gig of The Bachelorette. JMO
