I took it like Shawn thinks he is better than the other people and thus better than the show.
Apparently he's not better than the show since they did it.
And that's what makes Sean so unlikable to me: He *thinks* he's better than others/this show and yet he's not.

Y'all, it is okay, he just did it for the money, remember?

Lol. He's annoying. We get it, Sean. You're better than dropping F bombs and having threesomes. He needs to judge himself and why he agreed to appear on this show in the first place.nothatgirl wrote:bleuberry wrote:I take it they weren't live tweeting last night?

Catherine: "We're from two completely opposite worlds."
Sean: nodding head in agreement "We're on two different levels."
*snip*
I agree with Sean. They are on two different levels... intellectually. Cat is way smarter, which is why she's able to pull Sean's puppet strings without him even realising what's happening. She's keeping Sean happy by pretending to be into his evangelism, while it's not really like her at all. She'd rather be on TV talking some more about their sex life. JMOAA.

I don't think he has regrets. I think he likes having his ego stroked and his inflated opinions reaffirmed by fans (you're 'too' good for the show, better than the rest, etc).

In my opinion, of course I do not know Sean or Catherine personally, but I think this was more shocking and socially different than he was expecting. He has grown up in a very different world socially than most others on this show. I think if Sean and Catherine were really judgmental and thought that they were above all the rest they would have left the show early. To me the most offensive thing about the show are the leaders. I think they are condescending and their actions to the participants are hurtful. I hope the contestants all band together and give the leaders some counsel. What they are doing to the participants is just mean. I can not see how this will be helpful. There are a lot of hurts and trauma in the participants and it seems to me this show will only add more trauma to their lives.

No offense but SeanCat showed up to be on this show, got extra money according to Sean, so put on your big boy panties and do the show. Sean is not a special snowflake, he is just another reality tv guy. As Cat told JPG, don't bite the hand that feeds you. Well MBC is feeding them, so Sean shut up and play along. If you didn't like the kind of people on the show or the counsellors, then you should not have signed their contract and accepted their money.
I guess for me if Sean wants the money he needs to put his "principles" away. He sold those, JMO.

I've never seen the show before, but just looking at past seasons' promos told me that this show was going to have a lot of profanity, issues with infidelity and promiscuity, partners calling each other horrible names, yelling, drama, etc. I just can't buy that they weren't expecting this. Why do you think Sean admitted he felt so uneasy about doing this from the get go? He knew he would be compromising his values for money.
I also don't give him much credit for not leaving the show. He wanted to leave on day one! I don't even know if he was contractually forced to stay (that would be my guess) or if he stayed because of the $$$, but it definitely doesn't inducate he wasn't judgmental. In fact, considering he's currently liking tweets calling the other couples wacky and wild, I would say he IS judgemental. JMO.

Sean needs to get off his high horse, IMO.
Unfortunately, I don't think he will be doing that any time soon and if anything, Sean going on this show only will make him feel even more self-important and 'better-than-thou' since he can interpret himself to be the "light" to these "other" people whom he thinks are less than him even though he did the show for the money just like them!

The leaders are stupid as **** . I am sorry for my words . I have seen this show before and I don't like those leaders especially the husband and wife who lead this shitty show .They are mean . You are right . I don't really like their attitudes . They are both into bringing the ratings and the show . They are the creator of their show. There is a reason why they are getting wild pairs to be on their show and just only have one normal pair every season. Because they are making a reality show. I don't believed they don't dictate their casts while filming it . For sure they do. .They might be doing their roles to them but I don't believed they are making a real show . Maybe half of it . At the end this is their show . I watched the show at their site today . Phew the yelling and stupidity is just driving me nuts at the same time I can't help not to laugh those wild couples . Goodness gracious. Although I can say this season of mbc is more of loud mouth and anger management kinda type . Which making this show stupid to watch.I hope this show will go away soon but I doubt they just renew their show this year for two years as I read .
"challenges are what makes life interesting, overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.real love is when you are completely committed to someone even when they are being completely unlovable.a strong marriage requires two people who chose to love each other even on those days when they struggle to like each other.a great marriage doesn't happen when the perfect couple gets together. It happens when an imperfect couple gets together and learn to enjoy each other's differences."

The show is called marriage boot camp, any form of boot camp is never going going to be easy, so, yes, you have to get to nitty-gritty of the brokenness of the marriage to salvage it if it is doable, so any marriage or relationship that is not at the point of needing bootcamp shouldn't have participated as is my opinion of these 2 .

I agree Lex. This is also the show they signed up for. Sean knew what he was signing up for. Once he signed their contract he agreed to their game. This was avoidable, don't sign the contract. Sean chose money over dignity. Simple as that, so shut up and do the show. JMO.
