Not at all. Catherine wants to do it her own way for a long time now . That is why on their short appearance last last week they did not say anything even they have been asked about kids in the future . They tried not to spill anything . Cat is not yet ready to say in public. She wants to make it private and quiet of her pregnancy . As sneaky as you think . She has been throwing off people about her pregnancy . That is why just now she feels like she is ready since anytime soon people will notice about it  and she did it her own way . Just saying .

Anyone that is expecting a child usually waits until the first trimester to make any announcements which is where Catherine is at right now. IMO they are not concerned about using this news to take the focus away from MBC using their child to protect themselves IMO is something a criminal would do or someone who has mental problems. They are enjoying the excitement in finally letting everyone know. This is no different than any normal human being. Expecting a child is the most joyous occasion between parents and they are rightfully enjoying this moment.

On another note,  please leave the baby out the conversation if it isn't in a positive manner.

It wasn't a diss. I didn't say anything about them "using" the baby, the baby has nothing to do with them being on MBC. I just noted that the timing of the announcement is convenient, which it is. Now everyone has baby fever, so everyone's happy. Lucky for everyone.

IDK, if they were hoping to distract people from MBC, now almost every site reporting the pregnancy mentions that they're on the cast this season. Seems like even more people know now.

I do like that they announced it themselves, they could've easily sold it to one of the magazines I think.

I think that is reaching a bit, don't you think? The are legitimate reasons why they could have announced now and one is that she had to wait after her first trimester, another the were a lot of speculations about her pregnancy before their announcement and couldn't hide it anymore. Cat had to even tweet for people to stop speculating because of it. They do have a right to announce their pregnancy whenever it feels right for them. They didn't even get that much backlash from the first episode so I really don't get your point.

The point is that Sean felt the need to justify in a blog the staying on the show. The pregnancy is a wonderful thing, and so they have good will and even here speculating how they might be as parents was edited. Seems like the pregnancy means you can't express a negative IMO.

Happy for them they did it their way, but one day after a justification blog is odd.

Yes, I agree that they haven't received much backlash yet. However, despite that, Sean's already written two defensive blog posts about them doing the show, so it does seem like he cares an awful lot what people might think. We, or at least I, also don't know how far along the pregnancy is exactly. Not saying we need to, it's their business, but just saying, we don't know if she's past her first trimester yet. But like I said, it's their business and I never said they can't announce it whenever they please. I said it was smart that they did when they did.

Personally, I am tickled pink they did MBC now and hopefully the proceeds will go to the wee one's future college expenses. Smart move, IMO. I don't for one minute believe they have or had any more pressing issues than any other couple and I feel great thinking the easy money went for future nest feathering.

I don't care if they want to grab all the money possible. Great for them and any and all future babies. The point some of us have made, is Sean's pompous, condescending, superior attitude toward these shows he does. He complained about CWS. On CWS, Cat told Jason he wasn't enough of a man, that he needed to go out and work and let Molly stay home with Riley. That was extremely insulting to Jason, to Molly who probably enjoys her work, and to any other woman who chooses to be a mommy and work. Jason and Molly didn't complain, but Sean and especially Cat acted as if they were shown completely unfairly. Cat can really dish it out but she didn't take it very well.

Now we have MBC. Sean admits they did it for the money. Great. So just shut up and cash your paycheck. But nope. After a few articles about their marriage and some negative feedback, a few days after it airs Sean just has to let us know, he would have quit. But the woman who called him out on the show for thinking he was better than everyone else is a Christian and so convinced him to stay. Again sanctimonious Sean needs to let us know how much better than everyone else he is. Sorry Sean, you did the show so you in fact are just as bad as everyone else who did the show. Stop making excuses. You sold your integrity for money. Just shut up, enjoy your wife's pregnancy and stop telling us how much better than everyone else you are.

And I do think it is fair to say that Sean who has shown us how he judges others and is sanctimonious will continue to be that way with who ever he interacts with in the future. And I am sure Cat will be a popular mommy in the group when she is looking down at the working mom's who leave their children and telling their husbands to be better men and support their families and let their wives stay home.

I am happy for them that they are having a baby, but it doesn't suddenly make them non judgemental hypocrites. JMO.

Let me clarify. I do not want to see a negative opinion on anyone's unborn child. Perhaps some may not have a problem with that, however as Administrator of this forum, I have a huge problem with it.

The comment as to how they might be as parents was terminology that was unacceptable. There's snark, and then there's crossing the line.

Besides let's be hopeful. Their TV days may actually come to an end now, and a baby can be humbling when you think you know it all . Win-win, disappear from the spotlight and parent your kid.
