oh what a tangled web we weave...

my last season I think. they can never replicate season one, contestants had no idea of what was going to happen.
money, revenge and deception appears to rule the show.    

Well we nearly made it through this season without an implosion, I hope the mods aren't rocking in the corner.

I wish we could go back to the feel of season 1 when the cast where unaware that it was marriage and actually put some effort in, it's funny that the season with the least amount of applicants was actually the best and most sincere.

My issue is with the show, more than the contestants. If this is true, which there are too many coincidences imo for it not to be, he should never have been cast. His record doesn't make me assume he's a monster or a wife beater, but it does rule him out for this show imo.

I think people are missing something. The full record was ordered on June 4. But the fact of this arrest and resolution and the summary we are all looking at was available online to anyone and there would be no record of that query. The payment was made to copy the full record, not to see the info we see on the database for free. So we have no idea who on production or bride sides knew what about David when.

Since the full record was ordered before the wedding I am going to assume it was not the brides family or friends. I would hope that production knew about it before they approved his final participation and that if it was a red flag for production that they investigated a bit sooner. We know because we were pointed to the record so it is easy to find, but I do not know who would think to search random databases just in case there may be a record of wrongdoing.

As I posted up thread, there is a robust business of conducting background checks. The better practice is to check local databases wherever someone lived. The cheaper, lazier way is to check national searches. I don't know if this one would show up in a national database search.    It very well might have.  To view the records you have to order them but you can certainly learn a lot from the database.

IMO the June 4 date makes me think that perhaps someone contacted the producers with the information on David prior to their wedding and the producers ordered the record. Since they were only looking back 5 years in the background checks, this would not have come to light through the normal channels. Just my opinion.

Seems, IMO, that some are twisting this arrest record issue towards Ashley and sm behavior. IMO the sm behavior was initiated by death threats and disparaging character assassination aimed at Ashley. That, IMO was the starting point of all this muck. 
I searched for the  arrest record in the places listed that David has lived in. That's how I found it. 
If my daughter or son participated in such an "experiment", I would hope their match did not have a "Domestic Violence Completion" and "General Counseling" listed on an arrest record. The man spent a few days in jail. With all the thousands of applicants MAFS claims they sift through, I wonder why someone with this profile is chosen above others.

It's an old observation but, in light of how S2 went, it's obvious the needed due diligence just hasn't been done. At this point, I'm only watching to see how the train wreck ends. Otherwise, I, like an increasing number of people, am so over MAFS.
