exactly. it is pretty significant for me as well, which of course doesn't mean should be a decisive factor for others. now that we'll see more of her, hopefully it will make people change their reluctance towards her, including mine 

Caila Quinn is the Britt Nilsson we never had loooool, I'm so glad I never got too attached to the women this season in my opinion the show is much more enjoyable that way, they could all be the lead so whoever they pick is one hundoz

I truly believe after last season's disaster tptb are going to choose who they want, not who has the loudest fans. They see how fickle everyone is.

It really has always been this way. They like to make viewers think they have a say, but IMO they never do. I posted in the Bachelorette thread, three pictures taken for the last two 'ettes during the WTA, Andi Kaitlyn and now Caila. They were all sitting in the far left seat. I will for my own amusement go back further to compare more. I know that Des and Ali sat in the middle.

ETA: Ashley also sat in the same spot as Ali and Des. Looks like they starting switching spots. WTA seating usually for me is another clue.

Honestly...I'm soo disappointed that they decided to go with Caila.

I mean i wasn't thrilled when then chose farmer Chris either but at least back then I understood the reasoning behind that decision.
Now I honestly don't have a clue what on earth made them think that Caila would be a better fit for the job than, say, JoJo. If it's just because of the filming schedule issues then that sucks..

Even though people are protesting about Caila being the "chosen one", the bottom line is that people will still watch, mainly to see the men.  Nothing will change.  Caila is so young.  Is she the youngest one so far to be the 'ette?

I think if you polled 100 people with children, at least 98 of them would like their children to go to college.

No, a degree guarantees nothing. But it's shows the ability to follow through and complete something significant. It exposes the student to people and concepts outside of their formative community. It has value and signifies the ability to commit to something long term.

Not all successful people have degrees, but I bet that they still believe that education matters.

Sadly, no amount of education could eliminate the "likes" from some of these folks, specifically Ben. It annoys me to no end.

I think we'll have fewer "likes" with Caila. She already proved it on her dates with Ben.

She is the youngest one they have had, Ali was 25 almost 26 by the time the finale aired of her season. Ali has said in interviews that looking back she was so young at the time, and in no way ready to be engaged :/

I am just really hoping the guys are not mostly young, hopefully in the 28-33 range like it used to be for the guys. I thought Ben would have more older girls but they all ended up so young. If her F4 is young we will end up with a younger Bachelor AGAIN. I'd like to see the next Bachelor be at least 30 next time.

JMO, but I don't think they consider last year a disaster. Ratings were better than the previous two years, the show was the talk of all the tabloids and entertainment news, and a bunch of A-list celebrities were talking about the show. It seriously couldn't have gone better for them. I still get the feeling Jojo turned it down because she's in a relationship or because the new ABC network exec really pushed "diversity". IMO.

I agree, I think they liked Kaitlyn's season a lot. They chose to air all the dirty details.

I think they did not pick JoJo just because she is F2. I doubt she is dating anyone and don't think she turned it down. Still disappointed it's not her though.

I think that the main "disaster" of Kaitlyn's season was that she ruined the ending with that careless Snapchat showing her in bed with Shawn.

As that type of proof was picked up by the major, legitimate news sources and not just the speculating gossip rags, ABC and the show execs could never comment, explain or justify. And I think they hate that.  I don't believe they will ever forgive Kaitlyn for doing the type of damage that no other lead has ever done.

All the ratings were consistent with other seasons, because of course sex sells.  

This Bachelor ratings were consistent with other seasons, because of course cute mixed with drama sells.

And the next Bachelorette ratings will be consistent with other seasons, because of course romance sells.

IDK, I kind of think they will destroy Caila. They do it with a lot of leads. They are even making it hard on "Perfect" Ben. Even he's getting backlash. Especially if people aren't liking her. I have a feeling it's not going to be a perfect "fairytale" .
