My sense since JoJo posted the dog photos recently is that she is back with her ex.  (I have no  proof of this.)   But she would be out of the running then for Bachelorette. I am a big fan of Caila, but JoJo would also be a great bachelorette. .

My sense was that she was not really over her ex to begin with since I saw very little physical interest from her for Ben.

When I compare Ben to her ex, totally different worlds, night and day worlds.

I don't think she's interested in being the 'ette. I think she's happy right where she is right now post show. She'll be another Becca IMO.

GA, would you be able to explain this sentence a bit more? I missed most of Soules' season except Becca's LCD.

I got the sense the entire show that JoJo was hung up on the ex big time. I bet that breakup was a big motivation for her to do this show to begin in with- it is for so many of these contestants. And per that scripted encounter with the flowers at HTD and that weird phone call, it sounds like the ex would take her back. IRL, no way would JoJo go for Ben. I just don't get the sense that he's a guy shed date IRL at all. Regardless, it wouldn't shock me at all if she's back with the guy.

And regarding Caila, I'm not a huge fan either. I think JoJo would have provided far more compelling groundwork for the lead. But my husband disagrees. He likes Caila way more than JoJo for next season, and in general. He isn't really spoiled- I did tell him who F1 was, but he doesn't know any of the little details RS leaked about Caila pre-airing or anything. He thought Caila came off as grounded, smart and well spoken as well as beautiful. He doesn't think JoJo comes across as very articulate and while he thinks she has a hot body, she's a butter face. (I don't share that opinion, I think JoJo is beautiful). But, there you go- a guy's opinion. He thinks Caila > JoJo in every way. So I'm sure out of 25ish guys, a few will share my hub's opinion. And that's all it really takes for a good season. A lead that speaks well and has a genuine connection with 2-4 men.

I don't doubt that JoJo liked Ben and even fell for him to some extent. She probably saw him as the kind of guy she should be with instead of Chad, who doesn't seem like a "nice guy". But I also don't think she was over Chad, since she was very respectful of how she worded things when talking about him and she looked like her heart was beating out of her chest during that phone call. So if there's any truth to him wanting her back then I wouldn't be surprised at all if she went running back to him. He doesn't seem over her either if his IG is any indication. Maybe she'll show up engaged to the ATFR.

What I mean is Becca is supposedly works for a chiropractor's office. We never see anything related to her office job or any job. She promotes clothing, takes selfies and whatever else.

JoJo supposedly owns her own real estate company, JHF Realty Development. Owing a real estate company is a lot of work. If she thinks her name will bring her business ala Josh thinking he'd get business from athletes for his investment company, she'll be waiting a long time.

I've never seen anything promotional related to that business. There is an inactive F/book with 11 likes, but nothing else that I can find, not even a website or old real estate listings. IOW, she'll continue modeling, and taking selfies. All IMO.

I think the Machine is underestimated when it comes to how they portray cast. They will put their PR Machine to work and make her attractive to all types just as they can take their PR Machine to destroy all types. They have a long arm and that's what influences the feebs on SM. JMOAA
Case in point---Deanna was so beloved prior to her 'Ette stint. At the end of the 'Ette she was vilified. All the hissy fits could have been edited out. Jason's proposal--that had to be left in to help him win a sympathetic fan base for his own season.
I have no doubt after following all these seasons, Caila will be fine. She is no worse than all the others before her.

Whatever happens, they'll twist it edit it fine tune it, which ever way they want, regardless of who the lead is because they really don't care what viewers think of them as a result of their manipulations.

Kash, this very thing is presently at work with Ben. His halo will tilt if not fall off by season's end. They do it every season to the lead, except maybe Ashley H. (They loved Jash so much.) and maybe Chres.

GA, thanks for the greater insight. I think that many of these contestants see this opportunity as a chance to redirect their life path. I think that all of the F4 are taking advantage of the sponsorships and modeling opportunities that come their way. We very rarely see a Chantal-like contestant any more. She just gracefully left the scene after the ATFR.

Do we have any other confirmation of Caila as the next Bette aside from RS and the media sources that are floating articles with him as a source?

I had to look up "butter face".  I definitely don't see Jojo as one although she has more of a girl next door type face imo. I do think she's very attractive although find Caila more striking. She looked really good in the post-WTA interview I watched.

Every season there are people who like and people who dislike the future lead. Ben was pretty well liked but many thought he'd be way too boring. There hasn't been one Bachelor that is my type so I gave up on that long ago. I don't worry too much about the Bachelorettes because there are 25 guys. I just ask that the leads have a decent personality. :Nod:
