Can someone please tell me if the producers/editing crew/company are the same as Bach/Bachelorette US as feel there is a different feel this year which may just be Richie. I mean JoJo kissed most of the men at some point but was Jordan from first sight but he had trouble opening up and she was always questioning him. Ben H was also attracted to Lauren immediately and she took until near the end to open up also. Also great post Fifty! Although would have preferred your findings favoured Olena.

The TPTB/crew are different people for Bach AU franschise. They use similar methods since they probably got "schooled" how to, but they make their own story-lines.

So true Loulou. Also Tim and Anna were the same - she didn't open up until the very end which made you think he might choose Rochelle, even though it was always Anna. The only season that was a bit different were Sam F and Sasha, although he didn't admit his true feelings, ILU, until the very end either, but neither did Michael. I swing between Nikki and Olena for F1 but then there is the undeniable chemistry with Alex. It's still too early to tell IMO, so it's anyone's guess. Does anyone rememner a recent post where Richie said in an interview that he wants to pursue a modelling/acting career in Sydney? Very compatible with Olena but can't see Nikki moving to Sydney and into that sort of world. JMO of course.

Yeah I've read something similar to that as well! Makes sense.

Also - has anyone noticed that whilst Nikki isn't heavily featured in the preview clip, her voiceovers are the clearest, saying things like "I want all of you forever" and etc. This reminds me of Sam W season, the voiceover of "I have fallen in love with you" was actually Lana and she came F2, even though everyone was 1000% she was F1. May not be significant, but just something i picked up.

Sorry, I kept writing in the episode thread and probably here is better, to discuss "the edit" of F1, F2, ...

so what I've learned from the past seasons that I've seen (US, AU, NZ) ... and is actually quite basic .. is:
- F1 is confident, we rarely see them freaking out about their connection even in a group settings, F1 always carries themselves as "a winner" ... whether that's actually how it went or not, we'll never know, often F1s at the end told the press that there were moments of doubts, but we never got to see them.
Confidence is mostly seen on their 1 on 1 with the lead ... they aren't shy with each other, there is absolute ease for both.
Usually the only doubts we hear from F1 is towards the end, with the HTDs and then around meeting parents/LCD/proposal.

- F2 is usually a bit insecure (women) or over-confidant (men) ... for women you can notice that that they are the "questioning" ones when they interact with a lead, they are brave and usually first to take a lead, but that is almost like a cover for them not feeling 100% secure with what the Bach feels for them.
Men on the other hand tend to be over-confident, to a point to be completely oblivious that the other connection (with F1) is stronger.

I've just watched 5th episode with Nikki's 2nd date, because I wanted to see that "comfort" that I've read about them ... but what I continue noticing is Nikki not being confident, she still can't look Richie straight in the eye and she kinda becomes shy when accepting the compliments, even though then she goes for the kiss herself. So yes, to me she isn't F1.
I know there are some info floating around about the SM, I don't follow that this time and I also don't buy the story of "compatibility" anymore ... because that tricked me every time in the previous seasons.

F2 is always portrayed to be most compatible, checking every box of "the perfect match" ... while F1 usually stops at the superficial initial attraction, chemistry that is never really explained.

Sasha in SFro season actually had a meltdown and was about to walk out but it was cut out to present him cool as a cucumber but not wanting to open up and getting hurt that was his hurdle. I found it interesting if Nikki is F1, that this next promo has Olena's VO saying "Nikki was very upset" when she was watching Alex with Richie in the compatibility test, this would be why.

Fifty ... your posts are very good read too, since I didn't have time to focus on the music, so it's very interesting what you noticed. I guess Alex is out of F1 spot the moment she got the white rose, because no F1 would be put through the "rose war", which was designed to go as we've seen. Actually this Bette12 USA season was particularly interesting how the guy F1 wasn't picked on being "the first impression rose", but TPTB made sure to show him in some "dubious colours" with the trust issues being a key role through-out the season with Jojo.
To me Nikki is also out, she might be a great girl for Richie (since I didn't focus on her to figure it out), but the portray is way too complimentary to their "connection" and that to me speaks "smoke".

I think the edit of what is being shown (CPs and ITMs and drama) is different but I think the edit of who Richie is chasing is similar to past seasons, especially S3, imo.

If Nikki ends up F1, then I would say that the edit is one of the most obvious ever for AU (other than Sam/Sasha) as IMO, the formula for F1 edit seems to be with Nikki since, despite very few CP chats shown, Richie is always shown taking Nikki away for chats at CP. The girls are shown (first episodes and last episode) saying "winner" in relation to Nikki and how she is treated differently by Richie than the rest of the girls so much so that the girls said there's Richie and Nikki and then Richie and the other girls (so they saw her in a league of her own) and is seen as confident, imo.

If Nikki is not F1 then I will think the edit is very strange but at the moment, since the the first episode (even the promos before the season when Richie said "Find the one to spend my life with" and Nikki was immediately shown) I think the edit is making it obvious Nikki is potential F1 - which Sasha in his blogs has said they are making it very obvious [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Add in Nikki's SM activity in comparison to the others ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and I were sleuthing the SM before the season started) and only Nikki was locked down completely yet her sister started following Richie on IG and liking posts of him and Nikki together, which, going by other seasons, Snez and Sasha's siblings did the same thing. It could be happening with other contestants but based on the edit as well, it seems like a possible piece to the puzzle. Could be completely wrong though so will keep sleuthing
