It varies, some do and don't. The F1's for the Bette S10 and S11 got jealous edits IMO. I don't really pay attention to the US Bachie seasons but I don't recollect any of the last 3 F1's getting jealous edits but I could be wrong.

Lauren never got a jealous edit and Calia got the physical attraction edit similar to Alex. I just hope Alex or Olena do not make it to F2 and get their heart broken. Hoping its Rachel.

I know Lauren didn't get it and I remember Caila crying much like Alex like episode 2 or 3 when I think Lauren went on her first date. I can't for the life of me remember the others ever getting jealous edit except some of the F2. Just wondering why they keep pointing out Nikki has a problem with the other girls going on dates and getting close to him. But I just had an aha moment. If the compatibility test is on Wednesday and Nikki is upset by it, its highly likely she is taken on her 2nd date with the vintage car where he probably says he wants her there.

It would take a brave man to dump Olena at F2 with a father who was a professional boxer. But seriously Im hoping she's not F2 either or Alex that would be heartbreaking.

I'm thinking that Olena might not be easy to manipulate and maybe the reason for so few itms. Come on, she was Kiera's roommate and she appeared to like her so... what does that say? I don't see a sexual physical edit but more of a man who appears generally interested in a woman and wants to get to know her better. Richie during his itms on Olena's date was very animated and clear on what he wants and how he felt. I really do feel that he is absolutely smitten with her i.e. Her looks, mystery or her substance. I think all! 
Don't forget, on their 1st date he personally asked her out 

Alex and Nikki seem to be all in. Alex insecurity and Nikki being a kissing bandit . Again, they have shown her initiating the kisses, hmm. 
Based on a couple of things sleuthed it would make sense for Nikki to be F1 demographically and socially. A no brainer considering it appears like :deadhorse:or  Nikki could be showcased as the next Bachelorette 

Alex is an interesting dynamic because although she's a mum, to me she is getting the sexual physical edit. There is obvious chemistry there which will be played up in the coming episodes. She's on to do whatever I'm sure. 

I'm not a Rachael fan but it's clear Richie is keeping her around. On either Twitter or IG, a fan asked Osher about Rachael and if Richie was aware of how she acts and he that Richie was not aware of the ongoings in the mansion but to wait and see what happens

I sure don't see that Richie is chasing her per the F1's edit. She's never too far away for him to chase. Plus she does come on to him before he can her.

I think Richie's shyness makes him completely different from the leads from Bach AU S1-S3 (as well as being the first male lead that was a contestant before becoming lead).

Richie has said himself that he is not like the previous leads and not smooth at all and all the eliminated contestants have said Richie is very shy and those who met him last year said the same thing so I think Richie is an outlier.

It's also why I think that Nikki initiating kisses makes me think he likes her even more because he is extra nervous (how he was with Sam F). Plus, as the first male contestant to become lead I think his experience at letting the woman lead (Sam F) combined with his shyness makes him less like the typical lead.

That being said, Richie taking Nikki away at CPs (and it being shown in the edit that he asks her to chat) makes me think he is initiating more with Nikki than any of the other women -- the women themselves said in the last episodes that Richie treats Nikki differently from the rest of them so I think they all knew she was his frontrunner. Now if she is F1 remains to be seen but so far, imo, Nikki has a F1 edit, imo, and reminds me of how the women on Ben's season were saying Lauren/F1 was frontrunner.

ok I have a theory here which may be convoluted but stick with me.  This season has been a complete pain to sleuth because the editing has been so woeful and I don't know if thats because the ending was papped and they are trying every redirection known to man to keep people involved, only time will tell.  

Now Nikki may be close in age, and state but a journalist told me before we knew Richie was going to be the Bachelor that he is wanting to move to Sydney to pursue his modelling and and acting career.  So I'm not sure if they really are on the same page at the moment considering she has never lived out of her small town and considering how sad she looked when she was recently papped at the beach, if she is F1 she better get used to it because they are going to be following her everywhere.  She is also with her family a lot but she doesn't look really happy so my fear for is that she is F2 and did not take it well and needs the support.  I'm not going into the SM debacle this year with lockdowns as it hasn't happened any other years (SFro you were wrong, your boyfriend also confirmed it and so did I on twitter).  I also don't find that punch in the gut chemistry I usually get with the Bachelor on their date and the fact she goes in for the kiss all the time makes me think she is still insecure in herself that she wants to make sure he isn't forgetting her.

I'll explain the music connection between the seasons and the formula they may use.  Someone commented that the music was light with the kiss between Nikki and Richie on the couch at CP compared to Olena's kiss.  Well a bit sleuthing with music as a former music theory student, I always keep an ear out.  The music was actually the exact same music Michael had his first kiss with SFro.  That was lightbulb for me.  A little bit of extra sleuthing.  The F1 first kiss from Snez/Sam and Sasha/Sam always gets crescendo music.  That subconsciously gives you a punch in the gut and makes you full of emotion.  A good film editor will create that kick in the gut moment.  I was also a film student.  Don't ask, Im old I've done a lot of things.  Now who had the crescendo music for the first kiss, drum roll.  Alex.  She also has 2 small vids on ten play of their first Date.  one with the date the other with the kiss.  All F1's including Sfro in Blake season have had it.Thats why I have flip flopped more than a presidential candidate on policies this season. The editing is driving me nuts.  Now everyone is saying they were friends with Alex in the mansion so why the edit as she was everyones initial favourite on night 1?  Im guessing it was to create drama surrounding the white rose because quite frankly Aussies are so laid back the episodes would be a snooze fest so drama has to be created and its a WB formula. I think coming up in the next couple of episodes is the real Rachel coming out.  As in all Bachelor seasons there is ALWAYS a girl that acts one way in the mansion and another to the Bachie, Rachels it.  The girls tell Bachie, he does the "I don't see it" (like every male that can't find their socks), for an episode or 2 then boots them out. My prediction Rachel is F5 with Steph the intruder as F6 or vice versa.  This will lead in IMO to Alex's redemption arc.  People will feel sorry for her and their chemistry will come out heavily in the next couple of episodes. Or not looking at formula she is F2 or F3 and they don't want him to receive backlash for meeting her son.

To Olena, she is my fave by far because this girl knows whats up.  She will call Bachie out on his "smooth moves" like the tucking of the hair behind the ear (he's literally done it with all the girls) and asks the hard questions.  Their date and kiss did in fact give me the "punch in the gut" emotion as well and what was a key thing for me was just how animated and less scripted Richie was on this date and the fact he said "this RELATIONSHIP is worth fighting for".  Now someone can correct me here but I have never heard him say relationship in any of the ITM's then again because his ITMs have been so scripted, I sometimes zone out.  She also has the walls up, scared of getting hurt edit.  Lauren B also expressed this in Ben H season around the 5th Ep and again on around 10/11th Ep. Now for the music.  Richie and Olena's kiss had part of Richie's music just before he and SFro kissed on the Bachelorette.  What does that mean? well one of 2 things.  She is F3 like Richie was and they are following formula or its Richie's music which will be "their" music at the end if she is F1. Do I think she suitable for him.  Absolutely. My husband is high octane, I on the other hand was exactly like Olena (unfortunately not the looks) quite and introverted but asked the hard questions no one else would. And after 20 years my husband still says I was hard work. She will calm him whilst quietly encouraging him to pursue his dreams because she has the know how.  And hot damn how good would those publicity shots look of the two them if she is F1. If he doesn't pick her, lucky man whoever ends up with her.  Getting back to Sfro and Richie's kiss.  The music just before they kissed turned into the F1 crescendo music, this subconsciously made everyone think he had it in the bag and everyones focus shifted from Sasha to Richie as F1.  So my tip is to keep an ear out on Nikki and Olena's next date to see if they have the crescendo music during their kiss to throw viewers off subconsciously .  

I haven't included Sfro's music with Blake as that was completely different.  They heavily used "Light It Up" by Raphael Lake which is used in Married at First Sight US version a lot.  They used it for Heathers 2nd date and also Faiths date so I'm picking Faith for F4 based on this formula. I also think she would rock as the next Bachette.

Now I could be completely wrong here so producers if you are trolling, well done your editing this year has been bat shite crazy. But going based on formula *IMO* Alex F1, Nikki F2, Olena F3 or F1 as a complete dark horse that no one expected.    

The editing feels about the same as the past seasons to me (similar roles of girls' to past seasons, imo) and especially Sam Wood's season minus the extra dates that are squeezed into episodes which may account for less CP time shown.

Based on pre-season sleuthing (which seems to point to her not being F1 as sleuthed in her thread) and her edit, I could see Alex as F2 (at max), especially with her very physical edit, imo. I don't think Alex has an F1 as she is shown chasing the lead more than he is her, imo. So far I see the typical F1-edit of Nikki being F1 with a possibility of dark horse being Olena. Olena's edit reminds me more of Sarah/F3 at the moment and while I like her, she is being edited to be one-dimensional, imo, and little progression shown (still has walls up on 2nd SD despite talking about them). So if she lets her walls down completely I can see Olena more like Lisa/F2 (or JoJo/F2 for US comparison) who had the same "walls up" until HTD/FD. On the other hand, if Olena doesn't put down her walls that much I can see her more like Sarah/F3 and never really opening up to get to fall in love - as the VO in the season preview one hears someone say "I love you".

I can't yet see Olena saying "I love you" as heard in the season preview unless something huge happens to make her walls fall to where she can profess that she loves Richie and I will be surprised if she does. Alex I could see saying that (but I don't see her as F1 based on edit/pre-season sleuthing) and I could see Nikki saying those words. You've peak my interest immensely. Once again I have to say that you ladies on this forum are the best because you all have great memories and some Columbo tenacity to keep hacking away for clues.

I don't know jack about the show's music but I did get that gut feel when Richie and Olena kiss. Had to laugh at myself because I found myself leaning into it . That kiss appeared so natural, sweet and passionate. Emotional and physical chemistry. It was not a kiss for the sake of kissing but one it appears these two were waiting on. I can see them kissing and kissing for days because they enjoy it

On the other hand, with Alex its consume, light a cigarette and exhale. Richie's 'wow' is his exclamation after seeing he survived. All physical and directed.

I have to admit I have watched Olena's kiss a number of times trying to listen to the music and by george they are swoon worthy. Alex is going to eat him she maybe too strong and OTT for him. We'll have to wait and see what transpires.
Oh also forgot to add. Pop sugar in an article said that any questions journalists have for Richie or the girls need to go through the publicist the day before the interview for acceptance and I would imagine prompting. They apparently were in the middle of the interview with Richie where he was asked to name all the girls and the publicist stopped it. I don't know whether he was giving too much away facial expression wise or he was naming them in order from F1 down perhaps we will never know. So I'm not taking much notice of interviews from anyone either now after that including who they name as F1.

The editing is very different from last season *IMO*.  We don't see him talking as much through ITM's or with the ladies at CP.  *IMO* Everyone, from people on SM to radio hosts have all said the same and lot of people are unhappy about it.  They really haven't shown the girls or their emotions bar Alex to know what they are really like. I think he was so awkward and sounded perhaps so scripted that they had to cut them out.  We may get more as less girls are there and he is more comfortable. Sam Wood was very articulate even during the 1 on 1's about what he wanted and how he felt about each girl.  Richie seems to be saying the same thing to all of them which means its more than likely scripted *IMO*.

As I said.  It's just a theory at this point, all of it is, unless someone can track down that pesky photog with the million dollar shot, we won't know until the end.  But here's to some fun sleuthing and some more of my whacky theories.

...wow! Who knew a show about finding love could actually produce such well articulated and intelligent theories! This is by far one of the most interesting theories I've read, and it actually makes sense! Thank you so much for this!!
