Bachelor New Zealand - Jordan Mauger - Season 2 - Discussion - *Sleuthing* - *Spoilers*

Fleur said in the first episode "he could be my future husband" she's letting the women know she's really into Jordan. Jordan showed his interest in Fleur during the first group date when she got the rose.  She's had a single date and he's requested one on one time at the cocktail parties so the women see their connection.

Storm gets a group date and then the next single date. She tells the women about their kiss/connection and is seen kissing Jordan at the cocktail party. The women know they have a connection.

Gabs has has the most group dates with Jordan. She got one on one time with Jordan during two group dates. She told the women about their kiss. The women see their connection is getting stronger.

Rebecca is being cautious. She said she likes Jordan after their date but she would have spend more time with him to be sure they're a good fit.

Fleur, Storm, Gabs seem to be all in after episode 8. Rebecca not so much.

The hosts of the Fantasy Suite podcast think Rebecca will be in the F3.

I agree there's no stand out at this point for F1. Hopefully it will be clearer as the season progresses. The main thing for me is who ever Jordan selects I hope they stay together long term JMO

Do you think there is validation to the rumors re Storm winning ? and what do think about Ceri's chances ? I am beginning to wonder if she is the dark horse so to speak I can not find any photos of her on the Bachelor NZ TV3 home page showing until now unreleased photos. There is some of Ceri at the airport but none after that. (as far as I could make out, someone may have sharper eyes.) Could that mean she goes home soon which would substantiate the claim she has already moved on. Or is this a way to divert the media's attention. But then why give Storm so much media coverage? I was on my way to work and was listening to the FM station on the radio and the DJ was sharing that his grandmother had a favorite and that was Storm. Seems Storm is getting attention.

Storm/Jordan have a strong connection. They have good conversations and are physically attracted to each other. I'll think she'll be in the F3. Since we're just half way through the season I'm not convinced she's F1. The producers may be setting her up to be the first NZ Bachelorette. I'm only going off the edit and not the rumors which may/may not be true.

At this point the farthest I can see Ceri going is F6. Jordan is attracted to her but she acts too much like a school girl with a crush around Jordan. She's doesn't have the emotional maturity Jordan's looking for. He has stronger connections with Fleur, Storm, and Rebecca.

If there is a dark horse my guess would be Rebecca. He gave her the FIR and he said they couldn't have had a more perfect date. He was the aggressor during their kiss. They've shared similar life experiences and are the same age. Perhaps the producers want a hidden F1 this season  JMO

I’m beginning to miss Art Green. The kettlebells, the way he laughed a bit like a labrador might (if a labrador could laugh). His extensive knowledge of high-end cereals.
Four weeks in, Jordan Mauger is beginning to feel a bit like a consolation prize. It might be the on-screen persona: somewhere in between your least favourite person in middle management at work, and “Dad”. It might be the dates - watch Jordan drive! Can’t swim? Jump off a boat! It might even be the way, volcano or no, he fobbed poor old Fleur off without dessert.
But perhaps I’m being unfair. There are many more weeks to go on The Bachelor, and #thebachelornz is still sitting pretty at the top of the ‘Trending: New Zealand #hashtags’. Maybe it suggests that we’re still all watching, if only to tweet about how poor it is, wonder aloud when the double eliminations are going to kick in, or whether they really are in Hawaii. The fact remains: there is so much about the Bachelor we don’t yet know. The man, and the programme.
I like to imagine that it is filmed almost exactly as we watch it - that as Naz says something biting and unpleasant, a team of trained Romanian knife-sharpeners leap to the ready, just out of shot, and start honing their blades. Swish! “She doesn’t deserve to be here!” Slash! “If I were Jordan, I would pick me!” Screech! So too the string quartet, who, like silent-film-accompanying-music-makers (I feel there’s a proper word for this) before them, respond to the mood (sad and wistful; grateful for a trip to Hawaii even if there was no chemistry; hot’n’heavy) as it happens.

The 24-year-old Christchurch-based travel consultant was previously engaged to be married, according to her Facebook page.

'Halkett, who is currently one of 12 remaining bachelorettes fighting it out to take home Jordan Mauger's heart, was previously engaged to lingerie and glamour photographer Rocky Batchelor - not to be confused with TV3's the Bachelor.

On another note...we have speculated about "the bachelorette NZ" but Mediaworks (the network for the series) has yet to release any statement about plans for a bachelorette NZ season this year. Also IMO there are girls from Art's season that are very popular who may be considered ahead of the girls from Jordan's season....in any case an "Ette season is more of a speculation at the moment.
