Most stores have CCV's plus the people working at the store during those times will surely be interrogated. It sound too coincidental IMO that one container was found empty, and the other was found half full (or half empty for the pesimists out there, haha!) I am starting to truly believe this is a lot more horrible for Chris than we were aware of before.  At the end of the day, proven facts & scientific evidence will prevail.

This makes me wonder if additional charges may be forthcoming?

Wasn't his hearing scheduled for today?

Good thing, IMO, that the police waited for the search warrants etc, because it seems like the case can be built on other facts. This is the porcecutor filings for the case, court documents, not just random tabloid gossip. Jmo.

No where in that article was there a reported blood alcohol level. Did I miss it?
From what I had heard CS was working on a home remodeling show. It was wrapping that day and he was on his way out buy things to celebrate when the accident occurred. So buying beverages would be consistent.
If a car accident impacts have the ability to knock shoes off people and send them flying, knock filling out of teeth, rings off fingers, dismember people, I would think they might pop carbonated beverage cans or bottles.
Again, I would expect facts will unfold properly vs dribs and drabs.

@Kashathediva nope but because he fled, the BAC taken would be inaccurate. There are other things that can be used to calculate his likely BAC at the time of the crash though. If he was seen buying alcohol shortly before the crash, and the same alcohol he bought was open/empty in his car, they can calculate the amount of alcohol gone out of the containers, his weight, the time elapsed from when he bought it to the time he crashed and get a pretty accurate picture of how intoxicated (or not) he was.

@ReneeM They are able to accurately determine alcohol levels through hair and nail clippings. They don't need blood. So that doesn't hold water anymore. They could have gotten both a hair and nail clipping sample if they had chosen. Shame on the prosecutors office if they did not.

They could have gotten those samples and not released the findings yet. I'm sure some of the evidence for this investigation will not see the light of day until a trial. And even then there may be items not released to the public.

Bottom line to me is that Chris is guilty of the crime he was charged with. The fact his lawyers are trying to argue otherwise tells me there's probably more Chris and his lawyers don't want released to the public. JMO

I agree. Both the defense and prosecutors have mapped out their planned strategy.
