7:45 AM PT -- Soules is in court now for his arraignment. TMZ has obtained documents in which police say he was in possession of alcoholic beverage containers at the time of the crash. Soules was apprehended after witnesses near the scene of the crash ID'd him and called police.



Now that I think about it, he probably ran away bc he didnt want to be tested til some of the alcohol left his system. Scum of the earth.

What a f****** coward for fleeing the scene, I have no respect for him whatsoever - especially since they found alcoholic beverages in his car. He's already had multiple DUI's so this is not a "mistake", it's a pattern - it has happened before and it'll continue to happen unless the fact that he killed someone is finally the wakeup call he needs. RIP to the victim and his family.

ETA: He could get up to 5 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter. He's going to need a damn good lawyer.

Did his first offense happen when he was a minor or early 20s? I think I remember discussing in this forum before he was confirmed to be next bachelor, I believe.  Nvm, first arrest when he was 16 but seemed to have a lot of other moving violations since.  Not sure how true the following (link) is but I feel really bad for the other driver.

I hope they throw the book at him. Impaired or not, he left the scene and someone's dead. Even worse if the driver didn't die instantly and could've been saved if first aid was rendered. lock him up! JMO.

Now, I realize why Becca didn't want him. I have little sympathy for drunk drivers.

My condolences to the family of the deceased. I pray for Chris soul because this one is unexplainable.

I like this article the sums up all the info so far. He has a history of not only speeding and drunk driving but also he has LEFT THE SCENE OF ACCIDENTS before. He knows what he is doing and thinks he can get away with fines as he had before. He needs to go to prison and hopefully he does if the info on Iowa law is correct.

What a horrible tragedy for the family & friends of the guy who died. Leaving the scene of the accident is a huge error on Chris' part if true and he'll have to pay the price.
