Bachelor 19 - Chris Soules - Discussion - #3

This is terrible for everyone involved. I can't even imagine what was going through his head to make him flea the scene. Fear. Panic. Oh my god....I just can't imagine. I pray for this family of the deceased man. What a senseless tragedy. Drinking and driving should never ever mix. I don't care if you think you have it under control. Chances are you do not!

Guys, Chris is a human being. We don't know every fact and yes, he did a horrible thing but I think about his mom and dad and sisters. His family loves him. I think what he did is absolutely awful!!

I know it's not the same for them as it is for the family of the other man, but as someone who knows someone personally that something very similar to this has happened to, I can show sympathy for Chris' family because they are losing a piece of them as well.

This is just sad no matter which way you look at it.

Yes, I feel sorry for his family, the family of the deceased, but not cooperating is really bad...even in court today. Say whaaat???

Police also noted that Soules must check in with a probation officer regarding his ankle bracelet monitor, and had to turn in his passport, as he was scheduled to film something out of the country that was Bachelor related.

Wonder what he had to film?

Seems he was going to Paradise then, if he was meant to film something Bachelor related abroad.

I understand everyone's POV, but I'm one of those who has empathy for CS. So don't judge me or any other member who feels the same, because we too have the right to voice our opinions. I don't need the facts listed IN CAPITAL LETTERS AS IF I'M BEING YELLED AT,  to try and change my mind. Yes he should be punished, yes he should go to jail for a long time, yes he fled the scene and should have stayed and called for help, yes to all those, but at the same time, compassion and empathy is what I feel for him, his parents, and the family of the farmer that was killed. IMHO

Yes, that's the thing that makes me lose all sympathy. Everyone can accidentally cause another person to lose their life even if they follow every rule in the book, and everyone can go into shock and leave the scene. Resisting arrest for 5 hours and making the police get a search warrant to reach you, however, is no accident. JMO.
