He had quality women. He just didn't want a real relationship IMO.

He was a mistake as the lead and the outcome was doomed from the beginning. I tuned out his season because he was so boring and unappealing to me. Too bad. I would've loved to have seen Arie instead.

I agree, the emerging crush he had on Becca kept me watching, but as a lead he was less entertaining than Bob and as bad as Jake. I skipped the little Prince was he as boring as Farmer Douche?

I agree! It is Christmas Eve so I will refrain from too many negative comments. Chris treated Whit bad from the start and it continued post show. She deserves so much better. Period. He went for the safe choice because he had no choice, JMHO ;)

I think it was a combination of a couple of things. I don't think Chris's primary goal had ever been to find a wife, but other than Jason, all of the the leads were always more interested in fame, opportunities, exposure, etc. I think that if Chris had really fallen in love, he would have happily gotten married. I think he just never fell in love with Whitney, but picked her because she was the perfect woman who would accept life with a farmer. Not fair to Whitney, but I also thought she was too quick to tell him anything to win ("I'll quit my job tomorrow and just have babies! I'll move to Iowa ASAP!") and never took the time to really get to know him, but fell in love with the edited version she had seem on TV. They both made mistakes. I thought he treated her like crap in the DWTS pap videos, but I remember a YouTuber who had been to DWTS's first performance and said she was rude to him and ignored his family too. So, who knows who was really worse? JMO.

Interesting. Do you remember where you saw that? I have always been a fan of Whitney and have thought she was very classy, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised by this.

I still think Whitney is one of the classiest people ever from this franchise, so if she was rude or ignoring him/his family, I'm sure there was some backstory there. My only point is that we don't always know exactly what happened, so I feel uncomfortable putting 100% of the blame on Chris.

Why would the youtuber expect her to pay attention to his family? Perhaps he was the one being rude, bugging her with questions or requests for autographs. This is the first time I've ever heard Whitney was rude to anyone.

If that was her nature, IMO we would have heard it pre filming, during filming, and post show that she is a rude person.

I can believe that maybe she was in a sour mood and wanted to be anywhere else at that moment, and who could blame her .

That's the vibe I got too - that she and Chris were on the verge of a breakup and instead of being able to wallow at home, she had to fake being happy and in love for all the cameras for the next few months. That would put me in a sour mood too!

I get that. Faking wouldn't be fun. But even if she was just in a sour mood I'm kind of with the you-tube girl on this. I would have thought she would have at least been somewhat friendly with his sister and the 6 yr. old niece. I mean it's a little innocent girl. Even just a simple glance her way and a smile. Whitney must have really been ticked off to not even acknowledge her that whole time.

JMO, his sister's pushed Chris to pick Whitney. His parents seemed to expect him to pick Becca (they were surprised Whitney was the one at FRC - his mom let it slip and editing left it in).

I would have been annoyed to rewatching the show and realizing I was living a farce because his sisters were bullies IMO. I am sure having to fake it with him until DWTS finished was not fun for Whitney. Most of what I read and we saw was him treating her like an a**.

Plus, by that time if breaking up was obvious, we have no idea what sister had said to her. I didn't care for Chris's sisters at all. Loved his parents but not the sisters.

Whitney was all in too fast with Chris but it doesn't excuse the way he used her and then compounded the injury by telling everyone he did it on the Dan Patrick show.
