One thing that I've been wondering is if it would help the established couples to get an additional date during the course of the show. The dates that the show arranges often tend to be bonding experiences for couples, and I wonder if this would have helped Kirk and Carly.
I like Cassandra and wish she had shown up earlier. At least she made good use of her time.
Any time the franchise wants to bring Jared back is fine with me.

I also think the same, she is way too intense for him!Amethyst wrote:I think that Kirk liked Carly a lot but that she pushed too hard, too fast.

IMO, It is perfectly okay if Kirk didn't want to explore a relationship past BIP, but he should have let Carly in on this WAY sooner. Certainly not give her all those little reassuring hints. Remember, it is easy for us to say that he was hesitant from the get go, we saw footage that Carly wasn't privy too and I am sorry but he sure didn't act around her like Jared did around Ashley(ie. Unresponsive, not interested) So, it's not like she should have picked up on smth. Nobody else did either.
She was completely blindsided, IMO. She felt lead on, lied to and used(in more way than one) in that moment... Those feelings usually go hand in hand with anger. So, I understood her need to get away from him.
For the record, I don't think he is a bad guy, but that was just not the right way to handle this. I felt a bit bad for him too, but I also couldn't shake the feeling that he ultimately wanted to make himself feel better about this towards the end.

I feel bad for Kirk and Carly. I am leaning more on the Carly side but I don't think she handled it perfectly.
To me the thing about Kirk and Carly is that they were "the couple" that everyone looked to as being so solid, so it wasn't just her that saw it. The only other couple that was like that got engaged at the end and are still together. So for her to think about moving in with him and such isn't so far fetched considering what this show is tailoring to and what it is supposedly all about. This was the couple that was supposed to get engaged. In her mind it was a done deal when it came to Paradise and everything else they would figure out later.
So I get why she was so upset because if he was having any doubts (and if he said he was for a week that is one third of the show) he should have pumped the breaks a little and thrown caution to the wind. I do not think this was the best time to bring this up he may not be feeling the same, they talked about going to her brother's wedding, her moving etc.
Carly handled the situation horribly especially at the end when she was swearing at him. But at the same time she felt completely blindsided and betrayed, based on her tweets of recent she does not appear to have any hard feelings as they tweet each other and spent the premiere together. But in that moment she felt that he had lied to her and went into defense mode. I cannot blame her for that at all.
Will be interesting how Jade and Tanner's date goes, I would imagine that might cause some anxiety for both of them.

I know a lot of people here are like "how does RS know about people having sex"; somehow he does! I'm guessing it was just something that was widely known among the cast and crew and a couple of them told RS about. Just like how he's known about all the other hook ups happen.

Oohh, what kinds of things have you seen on Periscope/SC?
I'm watching Jade/Carly's right now and it's pretty interesting. They seem to still be pissed at Kirk, but Carly did say he's not a bad person, he just made a bad judgement. She also said, in hindsight, she kind of wishes she had gone to her brother's wedding, but he was really supportive of her wanting to find love and she did, it just didn't work out. She said that the only things to do on BIP were have sex, drink, and lay on the beach. Carly seems to still really dislike Sam, although Jade is more neutral, saying they've texting a few times. They both thought that Nick/Sam kiss was awkward. They talked about how Tanner/Kirk had planned a double date just a few days before the breakout, which made them both think Kirk was really into her. They both also said that they loved Jaclyn. They were asked if they would date JJ or Mikey, and they said that even though they are friends with both, they are "undateable". All I remember!

As a Nick supporter I feel your pain. I really feel bad for Kirk. He was just being honest with his feelings. I enjoy engaging in all the various viewpoints that we all have on this forum. As viewers of these TV shows and "fans" of a variety of the cast we all can banter and discuss our likes and dislikes and have divergent points of view. It is all in good fun. It is also chit chat among fellow forum members.
However ITA with you that when people go on anyones personal SM to bash them or tear them down and spew such negativity it truly crosses the line. As a supporter of such a polarizing person like Nick, I have been shocked and appalled by the viciousness and angry hatred of strangers posting on his account. It really is unbelievable. I hope people won't go too crazy on Kirk. People posting on SM need to remember these are real people, with real feelings who happened to share their lives on a reality TV show. If they want to get out their feelings.....join a forum instead!!
