I agree. This is a whole lot of horse manure.

That said, when Sean Lowe was the Bach, he actually had A LOT of amazing women on his season. Except for Tierra and AshLee (who we really didn't know was crazy until the end), Sean got rid of the wackier girls pretty quickly. Or, am I remembering it wrong? To be sure though, Tierra's sparkle was big enough to cast a huge shadow on most of that season.

So Cupcake isn't the Bachelor because he has a real job?

I'm pretty sure Ben has a "real" job. That house he has in Denver isn't going to pay for itself and Us Weekly just said he got a promotion. Cupcake isn't The Bachelor because they didn't want him. JMO.

US Weekly said he turn down a promotion to be the next bachelor

They used to want someone with a desirable job or title. Still think Cupcake was a good choice and I'm sure he could have done it if they wanted him. Oh well. I even had a flash of hope it could be Jared. I don't think his comment about Clare was that bad but agree we wouldn't have seen it if he were up for lead.

I have this feeling that Ben would be good weeding out most of the crazies pretty quickly. He'll probably end up with a Tierra type though.

I think key word producer said is serious CAREER vs JOB but yes they are telling fans anything to twist it their way in any given season IMO

Cupcake definitely has a real career. I think this show is getting cheaper and cheaper and who knows how much these contestants net profit at the end of the day in the short interim vs. a long career. I would imagine the days of getting leads who have real careers are over because it is hard to convince someone to put that on hold for months on end unless they solely want the fame.

Sean has a real estate investment company with a friend and works in the oil & gas industry. Cat does freelance design work. If you visit their fan threads it is talked about more.

I think she meant you must have a career that enables extended time off. There are companies who are willing to give their staff time off, depending on their position. I would guess, and this is just my guess, that many companies would be down for the PR of one of their own being the bach. .. depending on the edit they get, I'm guessing at least it gets some attention for the company.
