Get out of my head! I was just having similar thoughts. It's become so apparent in the past few days that (1) TPTB didn't have any choice but to show Ashley and JP's love story, and (2) there's so much more to that story than we ever saw. It's amazing to even think about. Finding out about the extended "jammies" date makes it even more obvious that Ashley wasn't exactly pining for Bentley, and the whole Bentley episode was just an unwanted (by me, anyway) distraction from the real story. Nice try, MF.

Agree, huge BNB smokescreen. She grabbed JP and practically pulled him in the door when he arrived with the flowers, kissed again in the kitchen, before the fireplace, etc. , etc. Obviously went to this other room where the ET center and sofas are. Like they were really going to watch a movie. :giggle: She sure looks upset over Bentley leaving I'm surpised MF isn't bald after this one, from pulling his hair out to edit out the love and passion between JP and Ashely. No wonder so much time was spent on stupid stuff, like the masked guy, BNB, you name it. MF had a show to make and fill 2 hours. If he showed the real stuff with JP and Ashley, we all would have known by this date, it was over for any other guy. Yep, good try is right, MF, but EPIC FAIL, we saw it anyway, they couldn't hide it.

Take a good look at the picture. That is JP's leg we see on the couch, under the blanket, so yes, she was veeeeerrrrrrrry close to him. Their bodies couldn't have been closer I don't think.

I just noticed that, too! There is Ashley's floral jammie bottoms and directly in line with them is JP's plaid leg. What the heck is going on underneath that blanket??

She has her legs hooked up over his, DH and I do that all the time when we're lying together.

It's so funny that was her first date when she was "pining" over Bentley ... JP got further than Ames and Constantine combined on that date.

Yeah, I take back my "lying prone body to body" ~ it was way more intimate than that, seeing where his leg is and her legs. wowza!!! There was never any 'contest' game over, JP had this from early on, like she said, she knew 'early on' ~ he knew and she knew it. Good luck with that one MF. :giggle:

Great catch you guys!! I had totally missed that.

^^ That picture just proves the level of comfort and trust they had with each other almost immediately.

I think that, when Ashley left for the show, she told her sister she was looking for someone who made her laugh. Notice that her sister latched onto that when Ashley couldn't say if JP made her laugh. Obviously, he does, but it's so much more than that. JP wasn't relying on comedy to win Ashley's heart; rather, he was gaining her trust by being her rock.

So I can "understand" why her sister thought, if he doesn't make her laugh, he's not the one. What she didn't understand is that Ashley was completely different from when she left for the show.

Once again how can anyone believe anything CH says "After Bentley left we almost had to stop production" blah blah blah

Hahahaha. I completely agree, Love. Remember when he said that there would be a frontrunner change in the fantasy date episode? Funny how that never happened. I'm still mad at him for saying that. Getting my hopes up like that. :laughingoutlou

ETA: I also agree they should have just let Ashley pick JP after their first 1-on-1 date and then made Shawntel the Bachelorette. Then Ben would've been the F1. :awesome:

I LOVE how you worded that. AFTER Bentley. Gee, what happened AFTER Bentley?

Look how this silly season panned out...

She WANTED him for that Las Vegas suite instead of Mickey. Those facial expressions at the airport spoke VOLUMES! She kept warning Mickey this date could end with a coin toss! Even forced him to wear the ladies wine-lift-up gear so that his "manhood" would be no use! LOL!

Later... after kissing JP with another coin toss, she kisses both Willie and Bentley. Willie (JP's buddy) enjoys it, but Bentley says "Wow. That was kinda boring. It started out good but it sucked towards the end. But it’s more like an expected feeling."

After her first 1 on 1 with JP, she cancels the pre-RC cocktails! Chris Harrison "assumes" it is because of the comedy roast and Bentley. Tee hee hee!

She sheepishly laid low in Phuket, concentrating on her paint job in the lavender-pink room ("You're a pro.") and giving Ben the group rose. Yet only the cameraman caught the under-umbrella "action". Only eliminated West later

After her group date with JP boxing and defeating Mickey, she dumps BOTH Ben C. and Willie on a double date. (Later, Nick... but he was a "dead weight" anyway)

After her date in Hong Kong with JP, she Spills The Bentley, which sends Mickey a-packin'. Then she dumps Blake after he made her cry and called JP a sandbagger.

After her group wedding photo date with JP, she dumps Ryan on his 1 on 1 for lack of "physical-ness", then Lucas in the rose ceremony.

I'm guessing JP's hometown was last... oh, well... poor Ames, whether his was before or after JP's.

JP didn't even get his Fantasy Date until Dino and Ryan (a second time) were out of the picture. Couldn't even look at JP when she called his name at that ceremony for fear Ben would catch her morning after "look".

Poor Ben. He was singing Julie Andrews "I Have Confidence" to no avail. Loved how his talk with Mike was all "Whatever. You have my blessing." Chrystie loved his Jack Russell Terrier Talk. Even Neil was paid to play, telling Ben "Having certainty about a relationship is EVERYTHING" and asking JP "What if she says NO?" Smooooooooooooth! Fleiss has you down for next season.
