It will be interesting to see how Kaitlyn answers the question and what their dynamic will be in their upcoming 1-on-1. I don't think we're going to get a heartbroken Ben, I'll say that.

Yes, I agree. This makes sense. But it could also be because Ben seems like the type of guy to give others the benefit of the doubt and try to avoid judgment.

IA that Ben H is non-judgmental, and mature and tactful in his approach.

But I don't think Ben was in love with Kaitlyn so it is not so much about his relationship with her and more about him taking the process seriously and thus not wanting to "spin his wheels" aka waste his time.

It's why I think TPTB are showing this side of Ben as being someone who takes the process seriously and thus will take being the Bachelor seriously if he is chosen.

I think it fits the edit for him being next lead for us to see Ben say he isn't there to spin his wheels.

^^This. I wonder how Kaitlyn verbally will respond to Ben, other than to reassure him she wants him there. Her body language tells me Ben's carefully chosen words are truth.

Kaitlyn will respect Ben's maturity in not discussing this with Shawn or anyone else. He was having the conversation right where it belonged.

It seems like the producers just didn't care anymore about controlling anything and were going to add whatever happens off camera into the edit... which is why we heard Kaitlyn talk to the guys about Nick and her communicating pre-show and see Shawn with producer talking, and now Ben talking about off-camera time too.

This season it feels like the real show is happening off-camera, including snapchatgate.

I particularly agree to the bolded above, because I think the producers realized they had a Bachelorette who would be best on TV totally uncontrolled! She is fun to watch, in my opinion, because she is so different than the scripted sort, and anything goes. Just letting her do and be who she is makes the best TV. Does anyone know how her ratings compare to previous seasons? I know I was NOT going to watch this season, but then I thought she was so much fun to watch when I saw episode 3, then add Nick to the mix, I'm insanely hooked. Kaitlyn is her own woman, and that for me is a joy to see.

I'm so curious as to whether this was intentional - the unscripted, behind the curtain stuff they are airing or if Kaitlyn forced them into it with her actions. Like was she really sneaking out with Shawn on multiple occasions without TPTB knowing? I tend to wonder if when Shawn vented to the producers about her coming to,his room and what she told him, they were like, "OK she's crossing the line by spending too much private time with this guy and telling him things she shouldn't, making things a mess, so they just decided to show the mess to viewers. I feel like if the Article saying TPTB secretly intruded on more private moments is true, (which is horrible, IMO) it's maybe because she was trying to circumvent the normal "rules" of the show. Also could be why the Nick scene went too far into what should have been private. TPTB saw she wanted to do things behind closed doors, so took closed doors away from her.

This was sleuthed to be in Dublin, could this be TP's knocking on Shawn/Ben's hotel room door looking for Kaitlyn after sneaking out to go to their room

IA and realize that and that sort of bugs me. They may have promised him the world if he stayed (and I think they did because I can't possibly see him staying on his own after that) but what happens if someone else is more popular. Or some aBC exec or whoever wants someone else. How does that make Ben feel for playing his part and getting the short end of the stick. I feel bad for the ones that get stringed a long with promises.

Does anyone know why Nick hasn't had any interviews on the show about that night with Kaitlyn? It was only her talking about it, and him saying a few nondescript things to the guys. Why didn't they show as an interview of his feelings after the fact?

Who knows.... maybe SM activity/off-camera stuff IS part of the show now, including Nick and Kaitlyn's pre-show SM activity, Nick's SM activity while filming (unprecedented), recording of sexgate, to Shawn talking to producers (ever seen that before so blatantly?),also snapchatgatem etc? Not saying this is fake but certainly used to TPTB own advantage/manipulation, imo.

Guess we will find out by January next year when TB airs and if the couple is still together.
