IMHO, from what is going on with snapchatgate and the edit currently, Kaitlyn is not calling the shots, Shawn is.

... We have been seeing this in the edit with him confronting the producer... and Kaitlyn repeatedly.
... Shawn, confronting and asking Kaitlyn on camera if she is in love with him reads like an ultimatum for him to stay otherwise he would leave.
... So while it seems like sexgate is what changed things up, I won't be surprised if we see that it was actually Shawn pushing K to tell him how she felt about him that was what changed things/sped up the process.

I would respect K if she said what she felt for Nick was lust.  But if she sleeps with him a second time after crying about Shawn, it suggests more than lust to me... and that's where I think she may get into trouble.

To quote Shawn her F1, I think it is more a case of her actions not matching her words.

Being truthfully honest is hard to do when one is on a show like this, when one lives in the moment, and when one doesn't want to relive a past moment (which is what this show forces one to do).

As for her blogs/statements, she may very well feel everything was in the bubble and just lust, but the blogs are supposed to tell what was happening then, not one's feelings post-show. And we have yet to see how she gets Nick to FRC and proposing to her. Producer driven or not, prior even to sexgate, K was giddy about Nick coming on the show but her blog skimmed over all of that. To me, that is not being honest about ones feelings in that moment even if it is being honest about ones feelings in hindsight. But that is not how this show works when it is being aired.

But our feelings in the present always cloud memories, that's just how it is. I know I've had really great times with my ex but thinking back to it now, it all feels very meh because hindsight is so strong, and knowing our ending changes things. Of course I'm not Kait, but it's probably a universal experience imo.

I don't think she's catering to Shawn, she already had sex with Nick and he's engaged to her anyway, either he's over it or he's fake over it, but I doubt it's playing a huge role in their relationship currently.

It will forever play a role in that relationship if she is not honest. One very bad disagreement and the wheel of that relationship will come flying off.

Kailtyn's present day feelings may cloud her view on Nick but it is interesting that they don't cloud her view on the other guys whom she has chosen to blog about and not skim over. If anything, that indicates she felt nothing for the other guys and can speak freely but not so much with Nick.

TWT as it always does whether Nick really is a distant memory or not. Everyone wants the happy fairytale ending to be real and true and last forever but this is The Bachelorette. I personally have to take the rose colored glasses off when it comes to looking at things post-bubble. jmoaa

I honestly don't think she feels that much for the other guys, and that her relationship with Nick was just lustful if we are to believe her post-episode comments. If all she has to say about Nick is that he is charming and a flirt, I think she has moved on...
Imo, a bit disrespectful to Nick, but I don't think it'll be a thorn in S & K's relationship -- there are so many other things she could have said about Nick that wouldn't have offended Shawn imo, but she chose not to. Imo, her approach to speaking about N sort of tells me more about her than the nature of her current relationship

Oh the drama!  I can't wait for the ATFR!  I actually think we will see Nick take the high road, and see Shawn and Kaitlyn gushing and lovey dovey with each other.  I get the feeling they have "moved on" from Nick.  ;)


Who knows if they make it long term, but she sure does seem happy "right now."

I was going to reply to bleu but happy days did it better than I can. Kaitlyn's need to minimize that she was excited for Nick to come on the show, that she asked him to her room and then her bedroom, then kept him around multiple times and probably says as much about her as it does Shawn. It is her truth, but it does make me disrespect her as much as I disrespected Andi.

*edit* She has a right to her feelings *edit*. She has a right to change her mind and feel whatever she feels whether that is regret, confusion or just a who cares attitude.  She hasn't denied they had sex. I could understand disrespecting her for lying about it but as far as I can tell she hasn't.

such a good point, it totally validates what she has(had) with Nick and it shows how differently she feels about him comparing to the other guys. i don't think her relationship with Nick was only producers driven, she can't sleep with him two times for producers sake, her trying to totally identify it as lust only is because she's with Shawn now. i don't blame her though because we all have seen how insecure Shawn is toward Nick, he doesn't even call him with his name
