I guess it's easy to judge when you are not standing in Ashley's shoes. I think she deserves at least the benefit of the doubt knowing how this show works. JMO

Below is my post from another thead, but I'm going to post it here to.

I think people have to realize that the concept of this show is that people are going to get hurt.. no ifs ands or buts about it. It happens every year, and the lead becomes the scum of the earth for hurting a poor unsuspecting contestant. Sorry but thats the nature of the beast. We can all sit here and say "well I'd never" ... but do you think Ashley went on there saying "well I would"?? JP nailed it when he said on his HTD that at the end somebody was going to be hurt... and this year it was Ben. The Bach/ette has to lead somebody on and I'm sure it's more uncomfortable for them to actually do than it is for us to watch. And do I think that when Ashley was getting dressed that morning that she planned out how she was going to let Ben get down on his knee to propose, just to humiliate him? of course not.... it just happened and I'm sure nobody regrets those few minutes more than she does. I know "I hope I'd never" but until I'm in those high heels, I won't really know, I'll give her a pass as there's nothing about her that suggests that she's the heartless witch that she was made out to be

Great post! Let's also think about this logically: what woman wants to be proposed to twice within in a matter of hours? Of course she just wanted to be proposed to once and from the man she loved. It's obviously just another TPTB shenanigan. Man, I hope they enjoy the he11 out of Fiji and request the most expensive freaking wedding ever. And run, Ben, run!

My point though Alanna, whether it is producer induced..........doesn't Ash have a choice to stop it as soon as she see's the F2 guy bend down to propose..........wouldin't that be the thing to do to show respect for both guys??

I just do not understand all the hate coming out from a reality tv show about finding love. I assume everyone watching did so of their own free will and did understand that Ashley was only going to choose one guy in the end....As my momma would say "my my my what is wrong with people these days" (now use the southern accent as I am from Kentucky)...
