TPTB sensing that Ben is naive, maybe told him to get down on his knee and propose as soon as he got to the podium and maybe they are the real evil ones and not Ashely.

I really have to wonder how strong that Bachelor brainwash is, because I honestly saw such a strong friendship vibe between Ben and Ashley, with not a lot of passionate kissing going on, if any, and can't imagine a modern (as opposed to from the Victorian era) guy like Ben really thinking that the relationship was already at the stage appropriate for a marriage proposal. I do suspect a lot of producer intervention (and sorry Chrystie, if you're reading, but you probably didn't help either!).

I guess the bachelor bubble mindf**k got to Ben bigtime, like it did to Reid?

I'd say it's equal to Reid getting down on one knee to Jillian, as he was led to believe by TPTB that once he said ILY, she would accept. And Jason got down on one knee too. So, I kindly ask that y'all don't make Ashley some type of evil villain..it's just the nature of the beast for this show. Poor Ashley it almost ruined her magical day with JP, as it really upset her that Ben proposed. Let's give everyone a break, please. He'll know real passion when he finds it and it won't be anything like what he had with Ashley. As long as he stays open to it and doesn't shut down again. I think that is why they had to edit around Ashley and JP to keep us from realizing how real it was and why JP was so 'crazy' after Hong Kong. Him being a little older may have made him sure because he knows the difference between what he's felt in the past. Didn't seem like some of the guys, Ben and Constantine included, have been around a lot.

Can you see Ryan becoming the next Bachelor?
Harrison: I think he would make a good Bachelor. Is he the Bachelor? No, I promise you that we have not made a decision. When you see Ames on "Men Tell All," you'll think the Bachelor is Ames, so those guys are both very solid candidates. The No. 2 guy from this show is going to blow people away next week. I think we're going to have three fantastic guys that could be the Bachelor and that's a great problem to have for a change.
