Kaitlyn Bristowe - Shawn Booth - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion

I know I've said this once before, but perhaps Kaitlyn has asked him not to. It's not unreasonable to think she would rather those closest to her (family, good friends, her F1) stay out of it. I haven't seen anything mentioning non-Bach friends defending her that much or any family. But I don't follow her so I could have missed it.

^ I have seen her friends on Periscope as well as Becca tweeting and talking about it so she does have friends doing this.

I happen to think Shawn is not doing so publicly because the sl** shaming is in relation to sex with Nick and Shawn doesn't want to in any way come across like he even acknowledges Nick's existence let alone K sleeping with him.

I'm sure he will be asked about it on ATFR, so it will be interesting if he just gives a canned, insincere answer or if he's totally supportive and forgiving about it. I do agree that it affects his "alpha-male" image to be like "yeah, I'm okay with my girl screwing another guy multiple times"

^ Yeah IA he will be asked. I am sure it will be difficult to have seen and heard the things said about one's fiance though so I can see him saying that he couldn't do anything publicly and it was so hard, etc but only did it in private.

That being said, if the cyberbullying didn't fixate around Nick and Kaitlyn I wonder if he would have done something publicly? It was interesting to hear Kaitlyn in her interview say that both Shawn and Nick are alpha males (how she views them as that).

I just hope Shawn doesn't quietly think she brought it on herself for being "stupid enough" to sleep with TOG.

Like only 1/5 or so of me believes this personally, but I think Shawn's much kinder and more forgiving than I am, thankfully She's posted a lot about forgiveness in general and what it means as well as how "unreal" specifically Shawn is, so seems like she thinks he's truly supportive and forgiven her. IA it'll be interesting to hear his thoughts and reaction at atfr and of course every interview will bring it up during their media too.

I hope you're right because that will be one uncomfortable ATFR otherwise and I personally won't defend Shawn if he says something like that. I hope he and K have worked through their issues with this and he is as supportive as she implies and she's not still asking him for forgiveness at this point. Hopefully Shawn sees ATFR as a way to repair his image that the edit did a number on and is classy and supportive of K

Before Shawn told Kait that he has being in love with her for a while now, he said something like " we have build this relationship out trust", IMO that's the key, he is thankful that she told him about Nick early on, I don't think it's a problem for him now. The sex gate is now old news to us now. so, I don't think that's a problem. JMO

JMO, but I don't know if Kaitlyn had been completely honest with Shawn about her relationship with Nick before they got engaged. I would be shocked if she had been like "oh, hey, you know that guy that you despise and think is a manipulative weasel? I FT-ed with him until 3 in the morning, asked him to come on the show for me, gave him a signal on Jimmy Kimmel, sexted with him, and considered him the closest friend that I had never met. Cool?" I'm not even sure if she willingly told him all of that after they got back home from filming. If I were to guess, that's partly why Kaitlyn is distancing herself from Nick because she's seen all these reports come out about their relationship, has been forced to tell Shawn about their "real" history, and wants to make it clear to him that she's moved on.

We are now about 10 weeks past the end of filming & at the Finale it'll be almost 3 months since Kaitlyn, Shawn & Nick lived this whole thing.

I would hope that by now Shawn knows everything that's needed to be known about Nick or any of Kaitlyn's past relationships & vice versa. If this relationship is solid, any drama as a result of ATFR isn't going to cause the destruction of this couple. If it isn't solid, then that's a whole other issue between the two of them, of which we have no knowledge.

Despite the confusion & angst we're seeing on our TV screens each week, there are a laundry list of indicators that Shawn & Kaitlyn seem pretty happy. Nick seems content in his SM as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for Kaitlyn & Shawn as a couple. It'll also be interesting to see what direction Nick goes.

I guess, we will see! I remember their conversation at the RC after sexgate, she made it clear to him that she was exploring relationships and to let her figure this thing out on her own. IMO, she didn't have to tell him anything, but I think she really values that relationship and understand how important Trust is to Shawn. But, honestly, he could have left then, but I think he really cares for her, so he made a decision to chose love instead. Anything Kait has done bfr the FRC is nobody's business, it is her journey and hers alone to figure it.JMO

I hope this is true. But Shawn's hate of Nick is a bit irrational to me and she did lie in how she described her relationship with Nick before the show. That could be a huge violation of trust to him. Also, I can see her telling TOG ILY being a problem for him too. You can screw him, but to say you love him. Not cool.
