Shawn Booth - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion #2

^ TBF, the guy hardly ever looks happy. Not even on his birthday celebrating the premiere of the show that he got engaged on while surrounded by his family.

Who knows. Maybe Shawn and K made a deal to be together and get whatever fame/opportunities they can from all this. Won't be the first time that has happened.

Not sure what has happened but I have become so cynical about this show, everything seems staged - down to his lookalike Ryan Gosling looks and his "The Notebook" canoe fireworks display date. Love at first sight, trust me, don't trust you, all the way to the "will you date marry me" yadda yadda.

I've come to the conclusion the Bach/Bette bubble is not just for the contestants but the viewers too.

I wish we could watch the UNReal behind the scenes version of the show ...and then we could really figure out who "Bachelor shawn" is (per his own nickname for himself...in the moment he quit his job to go on this show)

He looks happy hanging out with Kait on their date. And she blogged that she feels relaxed with him. So I don't think he's always unhappy or miserable at all. Jmo.

Maybe he is happy b/c he got camera time and the focus is on him? Who knows, time will tell what "Bachelor Shawn" is really all about.  

Edit is a powerful thing and a romantic line here, a favorite shirt there, some fireworks up top, and we are all wishing for a Shawn in our lives. 

How many male contestants have been fan favorites and so many people in love with them and want them as lead and then next thing they are not so in love anymore? 

I guess I am not in the bubble watching. Time will tell what happens and until ATFR is over, anything up until then is all bubble related imo.

I think that's just his face guys..

In order to do this, we would all need to be equipped with head to toe rain gear, including umbrella, raincoat, galoshes(or rubbers, as the british say). If not that, hazmat gear.

this is quite hilarious. I never liked the girl. I never liked her laugh or the way she talks and I do not even find her attractive. I think she had a great time having sex with whomever got her fancy, living in the moment. I think she has no class whatsoever. This said, if shawn forgave her act during the show means a lot to me. He is obviously not a sweet guy and accepting publicly to be engaged to a girl who had sex on national TV means he has a lot in common with her regarding the standards which are none.
Nick? who is willing to bet with me he is our next bachelor???
This show is a total joke. I am glad that I am more jaded after so many season!

in context of him having clenched fists ALL day that day/day before(?) with grim looks I'd say he looks mighty happy in the pic... one need only look back at the CMT photos of him with fans and Dr. c to see just how miserable he looked in those pics and comparatively that he looks happy in this picture

I think it's alcohol-related happiness if anything.  He was probably stressed after snapchat gate at any rate.  I will admit that with every article today, my optimism is starting to dim alittle bit about their future but I will just watch to see how it all plays out in the next six weeks.

Oh...yeah, I forgot all about that letter! I wonder if he's secretly upset because he wanted to be the Bachelor. The fact that he has a bunch of IG pictures with models makes me think that his edit, which is painting him as this family-oriented, hopeless romantic, isn't 100% accurate.

^^^He looks happy enough to me. I actually think his personality and actions are more authentic than many.

And so true Emusha ... I wish we had a little cheat sheet telling us every contestant's ulterior motive for coming on Kaitlyn's season. I sure want to believe Shawn is real-deal.

Especially when I combine what Shawn said to Kaitlyn coming out of the limo ... with what one of the other guys calling Shawn out as being a "creepy stalker fan" (or something like that) ... and, their date last episode ... and their recent snap chat oops ... and, even the fact that he is personal trainer and doesn't she teach spin classes? Shoot they could open up their own gym!

It would be so easy for me to jump on the fan-girl wagon with this couple because seems to me on paper they are sure looking like a beautiful couple and match.

Now I can't help but question how much is that all just machinations of ABC and the vision/storyline for this season?

ETA: So now just reading others posts. WHat's this about Bachelor Shawn and creating an IG of himself that's Bachelor-ready. Oy. This show is really best left for the unspoiled who forget about the final couple after the FRC.

if you really think that producers are that upset, I think you've got it wrong. I've been in the entertainment industry enough to tell you that once the "oups" swallowed, their specialists already worked a strategy to take advantage of this and they have also a couple of plans until the finale
