The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - *NO SPOILERS* - FRC Ended - Now Contains Spoilers - Discussion

I decided to do a little research on Nick since he seems to be a little polarising. I found the video of him talking to Andi at ATFR and I felt so bad for him.

IMO he was totally in love with her and genuinely hurt. I don't blame him for "lashing out" and mentioning they made love on national TV - that's often what people do when their heart has been broken. And I can totally see his point - he was in love with her, she knew he was in love with her and by them making love she must have known that he would see it as some sort of commitment - " that was fiancé stuff" he said at the ATFR.

Having only watched the BachelorNZ, where there was no hanky panky, I kind of see his point. The purpose of going on this show is to find love, so therefore by progressing the relationship to the point of sex, IMO, would mean that you are progressing the relationship to the point of commitment.

I do not know what he was like on the show or how he behaved after but from that video alone I might be tempted to whip up some TeamNick t-shirts. I'll see after the next episode.

I think TPTB are always looking to make interesting TV.  Nick makes great TV.  They all know it.  

Several previous leads have slept with contestants and not become their fiancee (Emily and Arie, Ashley and Ben, Bob and an unknown # and probably several others), but Nick is the first to question the lead about it on live TV.  For me, that's the central question of making a judgement about his character.  Should he have or should he not have asked it live on the air?  I still don't think he should have, and I don't think it was a something just blurted out in the heat of the moment.  However, it has certainly worked in his favor for making him one of the most talked about contestants ever and securing him a role on this season.  It will be interesting to see how he handles it, if he is the one Kaitlyn sleeps with.  Will it also be "fiance type" stuff with Kaitlyn?

Katie, that's a great idea. You would sell out of those Tshirts from buyers on this forum alone!

I hope people who are still spoiler-free (SM free) continue to write here and maybe some new members join us from lurking, everyone is welcome. I imagine it's gonna be a thrilling season, so I like the idea to be able to see it through your eyes, since last Bach took my interest/joy for the show away and I prefer to watch the scripted series.
I'm interested to read what you think about each guy and how you view Kaitlyn's approach with men.

Yeah, it's such a simple life being unspoiled and honestly the edit is so much more obvious. I just wanted to watch it as a regular fan because I have spent a LOT of time reading all the fascinating sleuthing....I am so impressed with the talent of the people on this board....last season the fact that there was one photo of Becca and one of Whitney going to the final rose ceremony and from that pages and pages of sleuthing followed and it was correctly deduced that Whitney came to the final rose ceremony was so impressive!!! I will attempt it again in the future as an unspoiled viewer but it is hard with all the social media out there. But I have to say so far this season has been strange.
