Katiebelle, I enjoyed reading your perspective all season, especially since we also got to share Art and Matilda with you too. Come join the other threads, just realize that people can be very frank in the general discussion threads, so if you need just positive the fan threads are a great alternative for the just want the happy times.

So glad you joined us on this forum. I love getting the perspective of people from all around the world.

Thanks for a wonderful recap Katie, I've enjoyed "watching it played" with you. As for your question ... As soon as the Snapchat video got out in the media, TPTB sent Kaitlyn to Chicago to "hang out" with Whitney and later joined by Becca (it was clear that it must had been a last-minute thing ... for a diversion) ... so many un-spoiled fans thought she was there to see Nick. While Shawn was sent into the crowd, for the first time since the show finished filming he was seen out and about with Cupcake, making tons of photos for "proving to be alone in Nashville". IMO, they both also got a certain angle of their edit, because of the SC-gate... and most definitely, JMO, because of SC-gate, I believe TPTB "leaked to"/scooped the media about her relationship with Nick prior to the show (their SM s-/t-exting, face-timing) and why they (CH as a spoke-person) had such a long segment on ATFR with Nick, trying to make him talk about it.

So what is everyone's guess for how long her and Shawn are going to stay together. I reckon they won't last 6 months.

Agree with you on all points! It makes me sad b/c I loved Shawn and Kaitlyn individually and together during the first few episodes. But, they just weren't the nice people I thought they were.

And, 6 months is a good guess! I predict about 8 months, but wouldn't be surprised if it ended sooner.

Hi, Just joined because I love reading the posts and decided I have to post about the ending.
Kind of late on the band wagon.

I agree with you Katiebelle and Allaboutlove on Nick.
I felt so terrible for him.

I don't think Kaitlyn and Shawn will last. I am sorry fans of K&S.
I think they will burn out at some point because of Shawn's insecurity (in relationships) and pickiness. Kaitlyn is definitely more down to earth like Nick. However, Nick has his very sharp side that is sometimes hard to swallow. It's really sad they did not end up together.

I do like and respect Kaitlyn and I do believe she is being more influenced by Shawn in a more negative way than she realizes. She just chose the wrong guy at the end. I think for whatever reason this year is tough on everyone's relationships. OMG! (off topic-Gwen and Gavin divorced.)

A part of me is like, I hope Kaitlyn and Nick secretly get together when Kaitlyn realizes she made a big mistake after all the media buzz wears off and reality sets in for her and she gets back to living a normal life.

I feel for both Kaitlyn and Nick that things ended on a bad note during ATFR. I wish that Kaitlyn would of showed more of her vulnerable side as obviously her defenses were up.

Watching her break up with Nick was just over the top. I really empathized with both K and N in that moment. It was like a great love affair just blew up and disintegrated. :why:

My prediction is that Shawn will find a woman a year younger than him at some point (based on my astrology weirdness), who is just as intense emotionally. I don't think he can handle Kaitlyn's maturity well.

Sorry Kaitlyn. Love was not in the cards for you this year. Things could work though with Nick. He's a good catch as I feel like he brings out more of the positive strengths in you. You never know.

Lovelove, agree with most of what you wrote! I definitely feel like Shawn brings out a mean side of Kaitlyn that wasn't there before. She was heartbroken when she was letting Nick go, so you could tell that she really loved and cared for him. It make me sad that she was so different at the ATFR, as I really wish K/N's last interaction had been a little bit nicer.

I don't think that they will last either. I think that Rhey are both infatuated with each other, but I don't see anything more than that.

I personally am glad Nick is not with Kaitlyn. While they did have a great connection I think Nick is a bit too deep for her and I think he can do better and deserves better.
