Chris Soules & Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion - #2

She was at the Derby last weekend and went back home last Tuesday the 28th i think? so over a week.

Time will tell if this relationship will last. We all know by the statistics that not many couples do make it. Everyone sees their odds differently but I remain hopeful that they will stay together. As I said before, it hasn't even been a week since Chris left DWTS which has been a huge focus for the past 2 1/2 months. We do know, especially since Whit tweeted about it, that they have almost been engaged for 6 months. That to me says something. Let's see where they are in another 6 months. I may be ....or maybe someone else will.

I think it's smart. There's a lot less pressure if they go back and forth for a while like Molly & Jason did. They've both got places and jobs so it makes more sense this way imo.

The difference with Jason and Molly is that Chris claimed all season long that he wanted someone on the farm with him...like yesterday.

Whitney pretended to be all in and once she "won" has changed her mind. Becca was the only one being honest.

^I think it might be more that Chris isn't all that interested in going back to Iowa right now. He seems to have changed his mind a bit.

I will be very interested to see if Whitney goes back to LA for the finale or skips it. I think that could be really telling.

I don't think Whitney changed her mind really. I think it's Chris's quest for fame that's got her rethinking their relationship. I see an Andi and Josh situation on the horizon for these two. He wants to keep milking his fame for all its wroth, which is understandable perhaps, but not what his F1 signed up for. No point moving Whitney to Arlington, when he's not there. I don't think he's been there much since he left to film the Bachelorette over a year ago. While his season was airing, he was hanging out in LA all the time, popping up on Kimmel every other night. Then he went to the farm for a bit, probably because it was a good place to rehearse with Witney in secret. He hasn't made any attempts to go the farm for more than two months now and seems to be straight up lying about his plans to interviewers. I'm really starting to dislike him now.

I have no reason to believe that Whitney wasn't sincere when she said she was ready to move to Iowa for him. She must have good reasons to have changed her mind. We will see what happens.

the way you're describing it mindless cs sounds like he's pulling an Andi/Ali of milking his "brand" as a farmer for all it's worth to live up the hollywood world for all it's worth...

No way was Becca ever moving to the farm. IMO, she wasn't being completely honest with him. More like skirting the issue and silently praying he picked Whitney. Jimmy said it best, She just wasn't into him. Whitney changed her mind? I can't see her hanging out with the sister if things aren't good.

I'm now questioning everything. Both have the right to change their minds but I starting to question their motives.

FYI: Chris is at another event, this time it's the Tomorrowland premiere. I'm guessing there will be a few more interviews to dissect in the coming days. I'm interested to see what Chris will say in regards to the current situation.

JMO, but I don't think it's Whitney that's not willing to move to IA. I think Chris is completely checked out of that relationship, and it's Whitney who's still trying to make it work. If you notice, it was Whitney IG-ing about their 6-month anniversary, not Chris. He's only been tweeting and IG-ing about DWTS; his last Whitney post was in April (except for a RT from her congratulating him on DWTS). I also think it's interesting that Whitney took a job change to be there for Chris during DWTS, and then missed 3-4 episodes, especially when she knew that last week was probably his last - I feel like most loving girlfriends/fiancés would want to be there for their boyfriend/fiancé during such an emotional and hard time.

I also don't think that 6 months means too much when most of them were spent either in a long-distance relationship or with Chris basically disappearing for DWTS. I think the true relationship starts now, and, to me, it seems like it's already over. All, JMO, as always!

Very good points. And I do agree that Chris has let fame go to his head way too much. Then again I don't think he was ever seriously in love with her, so even without DWTS I don't think they would have made it (JMO). With everything I've seen I would honestly be very surprised if they actually made it. Pretty much on the finale I called that they would never actually live in Iowa together. Prepared to eat my words if it does end up working out, but I reallly don't see it.
