A good read these last four pages. Just goes to show you the producers skimped on the investigation budget for the cast members as this was a low budget FYI show and they rolled the dice on these 3 couples.. If this info is true the ratings will soar with increased revenue for the Network. Whoever heard of these four experts? They probably weren't paid much but the TV exposure could further their careers.
If you put a desperate person seeking love with another seeking the same and convince them the match is perfect scientifically, each person will try to make it work. You then are left with a high probability of success. If one couple stays together the experiment is a success.
Calling this an experiment is a stretch. In an experiment certain variables are controlled to rule out false results. It's obvious backgrounds of the cast were just given a cursory review. Chaos leads to good TV, higher revenue. it's about the dollars not romance.
Jamie Otis last season a beautiful photogenic woman with a great personality. She applied and there was no way they weren't finding her a match. She was money in the bank. There was no way an expert would match her with Doug a guy living with his parents and apparently between jobs with poor credit but they did it because he was all they had. If it worked or not good TV either way. Good TV is money.

Meh, right now this is all just gossip. Still going to watch them. That spoiler was ridiculous. Roommates? Whatever.

I'm sure Steven is rolling around laughing. Of course we aren't roommates .. ! I mean, if Doug & Ryan R had their way, Jaclyn Methuen & I would be sleeping in their parents basements .. And I don't think either parents want the four of us crazy souls living under their roof! Lol Cant believe anything you hear unless it comes from the horses mouth!

WOAH this thread has exploded in the span of one day... never a dull moment indeed. Thank you Jersey Nurse and Mindless and others who have brought over info and scoop.

I think it is a good point about the show being a reality tv show regardless but the way it was produced -- very "raw" and documentary feeling -- makes it seem much more real and process driven than a "show" or a production in the way that convoluted and obviously over the top dates on TB seem...

I think the way S1 progressed and the effects of the show - I would think people could sign up who are very serious about the matchmaking component if they want it enough...

I do absolutely believe with these shows where there's smoke there's fire and we'll know in some time the truth will come out. the info reminds me of the bach australia which was a trainwreck because the lead was soooo shady...

Thanks Pumpkinnoodle for bringing up a 'safe haven' forum for this couple. I am so discouraged to see **edited** the negativity and it would be a relief to see comments from people who are genuinely cheering this couple on. **edited**

I feel like I am watching a different show. I see a reserved couple..Sean and Davina are very different then the other 2 couples. I saw a couple that was perfectly fine celebrating Xmas with each other and not with family. I do not see a HUGE romantic spark between but I see attraction. It always looks like when the audio on their conversations goes silent, because an expert is about to speak, they look very engaged at those moments and I am curious what is being said.

All these negative "reports" about Sean feel like a continuation of bullying to me. There is no way the testing would not notice something pathological about him. Each expert is extremely well known in their field, so I have to trust their decision to match them.To me he seems very uptight as does Davina. I wish them luck in this marriage and in whatever the future holds for them.

I always read the threads with interest but must comment that this particular one is making me feel very sad. Everyone who follows the rules has the right to post, but if we could put the genie back in the bottle, I wish we could eliminate the "facts" as they are posted. (Understand I am not knocking the actual posters, just the facts) and go back to the old FORT days of simply sleuthing and "opinionating." Obviously, SM is partially to blame, but I would hate to think that perhaps these posts hurt either of the parties concerned. JMO

This sounds crazy. Maybe I should catch up and watch this season .

I finally finished the show yesterday and I thought Sean & Davina were sweet together. I have some trouble with the editing because they make it appear that Davina hasn't moved on from what she was upset with Sean about by showing the same footage again. They do this with all the couples and makes it hard for us as a viewer to get on board with the "tougher" couples.

I'm taking all the online stuff with a big grain of salt as I've said. The experts seem be very good at what they do and I can't imagine them missing something like what's been alleged.

For those who want to a fan section I doubt we're going to do that and I seldom go in the ones we have because I like seeing different opinions even if I totally disagree. My suggestion is to skip past the negative posts if they bother you. It's easy to get defensive but be careful to keep it in the rules and question the info not the poster as GA said.

I love to read positive posts as well, so I endorse the welcome for that. Balance is great. Sometimes fans don't want to read anything negative so fan threads are cool hangout for that group.

On the other hand, though I had to retire as mod, I do know that the "hide posts from ..." Function is your friend. You can just read what you want to read. Or scrolll scroll scroll and eye roll. It feels good. Ha.

i appreciate the thoughts and insider info however direction it goes -- makes for an interesting thread in my humble opinion.

those who watched the bachelor australia show will know what I mean when I say that we continued to keep an open mind, sleuth while still engaging an insider (past girlfriend) poster + someone else who had a very polar opposite opinion (guy friend from blake/the lead's camp). the past girlfriend actually ended up getting a LOT of facts right in the end particularly having to do with the lead/ blake's life before the show (his exact involvement in a stripper business etc.). maybe the viewership for that show was so small that it was possible for us to keep the balance while still having space for the thoughts coming from all sorts of disparate directions - opinions, sleuting, personal experience, scoop etc.

regarding this particular show I aim to was as I watched the BachAus -- open to all info but also keeping an open mind to see things unfold naturally - i hope all will stay and enjoy posting their diverse perspectives personally, i appreciate it all...
