No, it is a plum/eggplant color and not black. To apply a color correction to make the dress black would make her skin look terrible.

I saw black this am .. And still see black .. I work with fabric .. And there are definitely different shades/tones of black

I think your screen settings may be higher contrast which would darken the dress to black. But on my desktop, my cell phone and my TV all show that it indeed is plum.

I am aware of subtle differences in color tones and shadings as I am a designer, photographer and photo retoucher. All this to say that I see what you are saying but her dress is a shade or two lighter than the warm black you post here. To my eye anyways. JMO

To me it is an eggplant or a black that has been washed too many times. That would suck for a designer dress. Purples are my favorite and deep eggplants look fabulous on blondes.

It makes sense that it would be black. Whitney wore black a lot on the show. Several of her dresses were all black or had black in them. The evening portion of the Des Moines 1:1 date she wore black pants and shirt. Having said that, she would look gorgeous in eggplant too!

I think it's black, just the sunlight is making it appear more reddish/yellowish - thus for plum.

About the harvest ...and the scene with Whitney on the field, on the tractor, I do believe it's possible they've shot that on her last date (LCD or MTP), since I think there is some land without the snow (corn stalk, dunno) in the wide shot with the Arlington sign.

I agree...eggplant/purples look great on blondes. Whitney will look great in either black or eggplant. And if Becca is in a FRC gown in her pic (still not sure the one they are showing in the car is a gown) she will look beautiful too. Both of these girls will be stunning!

Also interesting observation from all about sun/direction, you all impress me. I would not have bothered that much ... but I think the scene(s) when we see the limo ride without people, is just additional footage to create a story, I don't think they actually followed the limo ride of the girls (inside). When was it done? Don't know, I would guess before FRC day. Also we see many different aerial/wide shots of Iowa countryside, farm-houses, farm-land, silos, they are from different locations (don't know how many towns they filmed during the last week)
