My vote is that the color of the dress is eggplant or plum.  The detail\pattern on Chris' tie in Litta's cap shows some purple- not a lot- but enough to make me think the tie does "match" Whit's dress.  

Hmm...I could see that. In fact, I'd actually love to hear from someone who's in fashion because Becca's "dress" (I'm still assuming its a dress) may even be too much next to Chris' suit & tie but not sure. Seems "too loud"

And that setup actually looks like they just open somebody's barn door, created a pathway, and strung up ball fixtures and tiki torches...its so atrocious! I won't want to get engaged in there!

^I think they used items from the West End Salvage where they had part of the group date in Des Moines.

Her dress still looks dark purple to me. And I wouldn't worry about his tie matching. That isn't really something they have aimed for in the recent seasons.

I'm no decorating whiz but the decor doesn't seem to have any rustic theme to it to match the idea of doing FRC in a barn.

It looks to me like they backed up a truck of "stuff" and gave the interns 15 minutes to randomly place it in the barn.

I think the barn decor is furthering the "Chris is confused" theme. 
Yikes!  I liked the interior of the salvage place on the GD even though it was a jumble but the barn just looks cluttered.   It's like worlds colliding.  The individual pieces are nice but they don't go fit in that venue.  Is it a clue?

My favorite part of small town Iowa are all the beautiful churches and they are all filled with gorgeous stain-glass windows. I think this rustic church look was what they were going for with all the candles and glass and really just missed the mark.

Good description. The last few years, IMHO, the FRC decor has been like this. The worst, after this one, was Emily's season with her dragging the hem of her dress in filth like a shell shocked Ophelia amongst planters from Home Depot and and KMart.  The flowers rivaled ACMoore's finest silk from the half price after Easter sale.

^Yeah this is definitely worse than Emily's which held that title quite clearly for awhile. They could have made the rustic elegance come through and they totally missed the mark. It makes me sad. I've been a few barn weddings that looked far nicer to this.

Good description. The last few years, IMHO, the FRC decor has been like this. Crazy! And with all the money they saved going to New Mexico and Iowa you would have thought they could have sprung for a set designer! Hell, I am sure even Jillian Harris would have given them discount! It proves just how little that part of the show actually means to them!
